My boyfriend and I moved to El Paso and while we are looking for an apartment we've been staying in motels for the last few days. Our first night in town we stayed at this Motel 6 on the conditions that they had wi-fi and they said it wasn't a noisy place, that being important because we also have a 4 month old baby with us. So we check in and they give us our internet password to use for wi-fi just to find out when we get to our room that their internet was down and later found out that it had been when we check in to the room. The front desk clerk told us that they were going to have someone come and take a look and that it would be up no later than the next afternoon so we figured we could deal with that, but we needed the internet to look up apartments to look at.
During the evening there were trains going by right behind the motel every 30 minutes making it very noisy. Our air conditionar also wasn't working properly and was rattling off and on during the night.
In the morning we go to take showers to find hair and dirt all over the tub and hair and sludge in our sink. It was a very dirty and discusting place with dirt on our walls and light switches. There are also wild cats roaming the property that are quite vicious which made it very unsafe. We decided to check out that morning because of all of this and recieved no discount for the inconvienences. I have worked at a hotel for a few years and we always went above and beyond to make sure our guest felt welcome and recieved all the help they needed, but we did not get this type of service at this motel. The clerks weren't welcoming in anyway and did not help us out one bit.
