“Great Room & Great Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 February 2011

El Paso is filled with lower end hotel chains and there isn't much to be had for great hotel rooms. This Hyatt is fairly new, has great rooms....big beds, huge flat screen TV, kitchenette, large sectional type sofa. The bathroom was a little smaller than expected but more than sufficient for necessities. I did like the separate vanity/sink area outside the bathroom, so I could finish getting ready while hubby showered.

I was impressed that when we came back the maid had made our bed and placed our clothes and belongings neatly around the room. Most places, your stuff stays where its at and they clean around it. Some people might not like their stuff touchd, but I appreciated my makeup & toiletries arranged neatly on the sink and my clothes folded neatly on the couch. This might just be the individual maid and not the entire staff's management direction, so I tipped her well for it.

The bed, linens and pillows were clean, heavenly soft and luxorious! The complimentary breakfast is what you'd expect in a chain of this calibur. The staff was very friendly and made you feel VIP.

The hotel is in a convenient location and has nice mountain, El Paso Star & night lights views. Don't be put off by "Airport" in the name. Its a few exits away and not right at the airport, so no noisy plane traffic to deal with. There may be better in El Paso, but this has been our best hotel stay so far.

“Impressed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2011

I am more accustomed to full service hotels but there are none in el paso so I went with hyatt who I generally trust. Hyatt Place is an amazing concept. The room was huge the bathroom was surprisingly small though. I only stayed one night so I didn't really get to be in the hotel often but I was hungry very late and went down to the lobby where they had obviously a very limited menu but the sandwich was very good and it is very convenient. I just missed complimentary breakfast but they did still offer me coffee. One of the best hotels I have stayed in although it was limited service.

“Good place to stay”

We had a family gathering in El Paso for the weekend. The family had booked a block of rooms at the Marriott, but I decided to stay here for the price. We were not disappointed! The front desk was always friendly and willing to help. The rate we got was available only with a king bed in a ADA room, but our son loved the shower!! Our only complaint was that we asked for a crib for our son and the "crib" was just a pack-n-play. The breakfast did not have a lot to choose from. Continental style with biscuits and gravy on two of the days and hot oatmeal in-between. The food was good, and we ordered food two mornings. It was reasonably priced at $7, and you add-on for an additional price if you wanted to. The room was spacious with a partial wall that separated the sleeping area from the living area. The living area had a large l-shaped couch with a couple of throw pillows on it, with an ottoman. There was a wet bar area with a small fridge. The bed was comfortable and the pillows and covers were very nice! It did not have a restaurant, rather you could order food 24-7 and they would take it to you if you wanted. They also only have beer and wine (I overheard someone asking for the bar) in the lobby/eating area. It was a very nice hotel overall.

“Excellent hotel, location so-so w/o car”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2010

This Hyatt Place knocked my socks off with it's friendly service, large rooms and comfortable bed. I was expecting a self-service experience, instead the check-in could not have been better. The clerk provided the room type and location I requested and made sure their shuttle was available to take me to dinner. Which brings up my only knock on this Hyatt Place...there is nothing within walking distance if you do not have a car. Fortunately, the shuttle is pretty good, but you may have to be patient. Location is close to the airport, but not as close as others and on the opposite side of I-10.

I liked the room. Clean, quiet and easy to work in. Huge TV, but I could not find HD channels. Hyatt still needs to change their soap and shampoo line...too bold for me.

Breakfast was normal, they offer drinks and dinner options, but I did not try it. I'd stay here again, with or without a car.

“It was great!”

We stayed at the Hyatt Place El Paso Airport over the Thanksgiving holiday for my nephew's wedding. We were there for 4 nights and had a great experience. We checked in late and got all of the room requests that we desired (away from the highway, high floor, double room). Housekeeping service was excellent and we only had to ask for a room refresh on Saturday but I think they were just running late. The continental breakfast is just that...continental. Don't expect hot food because you will not get it (unless you order it and pay for it). We also took advantage of the fitness room which is adequate (two treadmills, one elliptical, one recumbent bike, and some free weights). My only complaint, and it is really to the entire Hyatt Place line, is that the bathroom (toilet and shower room) it WAY TOO SMALL!! You almost have to climb into the tub to close the door. With young children who have to be supervised in the shower, this makes a very inconvenient space for two people. I would totally recommend this hotel to anyone. It is right on the highway, very close to a lot of attractions and stores in El Paso.
