“Awful Awful Awful Do. Not. Stay. Here.”

I've stayed at a lot of horrible places, but this is by far the worst, unclean, terribly run hotel establishment I've ever seen. Came here on business for 3 weeks, booked by our company and not by my free will. I'll give you a play by play of the 1st 10 minutes of my first Extended Stay experience. Came to the front office, which was closed due to construction. The office was situated nicely in their laundry room. This became a foreshadowing of hell. They didn't have my reservation on file, of course. They had my coworker's reservation under a totally different, wrong name. I and 3 other coworkers had lots of luggage. Go to the elevator, out of service. Go to my room, open door with room key circa 1980. Bed was unmade. Room reeks of smoke (being asthmatic, especially to smoke, definitely wasn't key in this situation). Walk to bathroom, open lid to use. Stale urine and unsightly hair covered in toilet. Complain. Nothing done.

About a week later, at about 1130pm, vicious barks are heard from the room next door. For about 3 hours straight. I finally fall asleep. Around 430am, they start again, all the way til 730am when I have to get up for work. I was told there are no other non smoking rooms available away from any rooms that accommodate pets. The only included amenity in the bathroom is 1 bar of soap. The kitchen includes 2 sets of plates, cutleries, bowls, etc. No detergent. No stove, so plan on microwaving your dinners if you don't plan on eating out. The next night, I am watching my 13" TV when I hear someone trying to get in my room. I mosey on over to the peephole and see a woman with luggage trying to check into my room. Obviously not her fault but the staff's. I talked to my coworkers the next day and the exact same thing happened to her, except she checked into a room already occupied, and the man already occupying that room was half naked when she opened the door. So that's comforting. What else is comforting is that right next door in a shopping center is a well-crafted gang mural that reads in all, huge caps, "WE MURDER." In an open-air hotel complex, that is SUPER comforting.

If for some act by God you have to stay at this hotel, bring a few things. Shampoo/conditioner, handsoap, dish detergent, your own sheets, shower shoes, maybe an extra towel, and freaking disinfectant. The kicker? No joke, after 3 full weeks, maids didn't visit or clean my room ONCE. Not once. I complained every single day. Nothing. After being in this place for 2 minutes, you immediately feel the need to bathe yourself in sanitizer. And I'm not a germaphobe by any means. So, in simple terms, I would rather honestly a)sleep in my car, b)sleep on the street, or c) hang out the local YMCA and crash there. At least that would be fun.

“Stay Somewhere Elso”

Although the rooms do have a refrigerator and a microwave, these amenities cannot make up for the lack of cleanliness and the maintenence problems we experienced. You should understand that linen service is twice weekly unless you are willing to pay extra for daily service. The staff is inattentive and we tried for our entire stay to have a leaking faucet repaired.

A letter to the corporate email address was unanswered. We had stayed at this same location previously and been satisfied, however it is apparant that the quality and service have deteriorated.
