“An immaculate and perfect hotel, beautiful at every turn”

We recently stayed at the Capital Hotel for the third time. Celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary, we had no trouble deciding where we would stay. This hotel is so elegant without feeling stuffy. All the staff are overly helpful and down-to-earth. The guest rooms are perfect and impeccably clean, with high-quality linens and comfortable mattresses. They are also very large with tall ceilings and windows, many facing the Arkansas River. The hotel is within walking distance to many area attractions and great restaurants, aside from the delicious Ashley's and Capital Bar located inside the lobby. For all the wonderful amenities and the overall experience, the price of the stay is worth every penny. If traveling to Little Rock, stay at the Capital!

“Little Rock's Capital”

My experience in Little Rock would not have been complete without the Capital.

The old world charm of this property coupled with their perfection in service make it an absolute must stay. There is nowhere else in town and few places in the world that can compare. If you are lucky enough to find availability here look no further. You are in excellent hands.

I work with hotels for a living and it is rare that I see the level of care that the staff exemplify at this property. From the moment you are greeted at the airport to the moment you are relaxing on their premium beds in your room you will experience perfection at its finest. I did not interact with one employee at the property that did not seem genuinely happy to be working there. This clearly showed in their interaction with guests and beyond. Many people went out of their way to make sure that I had a great stay in Little Rock and to show me what they love about their town. The most memorable, when the hotel's driver Rich took me on an impromptu tour of the town, including historical buildings and Clinton's favorite haunts.

I truly believe that it is the people that make your experience at a hotel great. And the quality of staff at the Capital is beyond great. When you couple that with the world class food, service and elegance that you will find at this hotel you get perfection.

Thank you once again for a great stay. If I find myself back in Little Rock in the future there will be no question about where I will stay- The Capital Hotel!

“Enjoyed our stay”

Really nice hotel. OVerall very nice hotel. Check in was a little awkward. Arrived at 4:30pm on Sunday afternoon and the room we were"blocked" for was not ready, it had not been inspected yet So we had to stand around a little while then they changed our room. The room should have been ready at 430 in the afternoon. Nice size room, clean well appointed. Could use another comfy chair. There is room for it. Great tv listing, as good as we have seen for a hotel tv. Wish they had coffee makers in the room. Staff doesnt consistently acknowlegde you when they pass you in the hallway, etc. The food and beverage staff is very professional and friendly. The food is very good in the bar and Ashleys. Spencer in the Capital bar very personable guy and provides great service. Would absolutely stay in here again.

“Little Rock's 5 star hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

You can not beat this hotel in price, service or ambience. I have had the opportunity to stay at some great hotels around the world and The Capital can compete with them all and do it for a third of the price. The staff is friendly. The style of the hotel feels old world European, including Molton Brown soaps. The food, be it either at Ashley's or the Capital Bar and Grill, is palate pleasing. The location in downtown Little Rock is across from the convention center and with in a few blocks of the River Market. Then you throw in all the extras. Bottled water free. Daily paper even on weekends free. Wifi in room free. Praline dessert on pillow every night with turn down free. Hotels of this quality in any big market would cost over $500/night.

“Old World Charm refurbished!”

I never stayed here during the time I lived in Little Rock, AR. I have been a repeat customer for the last 4 years. Making up for lost time. My favorite rooms face the old Excelsior Hotel and are on the 3rd floor. A stay in their Suite is fabulous. Old world charm.
