I am a big fan of La Quinta. I don't even mind the older hotels as long as they are clean and well maintained. However, avoid this hotel at all costs. It's disgustingly dirty and in dire need of a makeover. The room I was assigned to as a single female was in the back of the place which, by the way, has exterior entrance to all rooms except the 2 suites in the main building. I had to pass some very shady characters hanging out of their rooms with the door open. The room was just ok, and I'm stretching "ok." However the dead bolt didn't work and the one lock was flimsy at best. If anyone had wanted to break in there would be no one to see of hear. Very scary. So, I called and asked for a room with interior access - one of the suites. I moved to one of the suites, which is upstairs over the reception area. It was so dirty I couldn't believe it. The fan over the bed has dirt caked on all the blades and I mean mountains of dirt. The a/c unit was the same. There was a "closet" next to the bed with a door that wouldn't close and the breaker panel was in it. After seeing the wiring I didn't turn. The draperies were FILTHY. The carpet was disgusting. If it hadn't been so late I would have left. There are no elevators either, which is a problem as I have a physical challenge. I will say, though, that the young woman at the front desk was unbelievably helpful and nice. She carried my bag up and down the stairs for me.
La Quinta, you should be ashamed of allowing this place to bear your name.
