“Talk about pretentious!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

The only thing "Presidential" about this hotel is the lobby with memorabilia in it, and the name of the fancier (plastic tops over the tablecloths) than usual decor of the Camp David Restaurant. Other than that it is a standard Holiday Inn which is OK, but be warned the food in the restaurant is below the standard of an average Holiday Inn. My entree claimed to be filet mignon which it certainly wasn't. I was overcooked and accompanied by pre-prepared soggy vegetables. Also be warned the entrance off Interstate 30S is trickly and comes up really suddenly. So look for the hotel sign get into the right lane as soon as you see it, and look for what is basically a ramp into the hotel parking lot.

“Great Place, Great Staff, and Great Drinks!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

I have stayed here several times on the weekends and each and every time I go they are very welcoming and greet me by name! The rooms are small, but clean. They could use some updating and a fresher look. The food in the restaurant is excellent! The drinks in the bar are excellent and reasonably priced and the bartenders are fantastic!!! The shuttle is very nice to have because I usually go to the River Market in the evening. Cab ride back is only about $10. Most of the staff is very friendly and attentive!! I recommend this property to anyone rather it be for business or leisure!!

“Wonderful Place, Close to the heart of the city!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

I stayed two nights here the last weekend of October while on a business/leisure trip. 1st let me say the staff at the front desk are EXCELLENT even if one of them was a Chicago Bear's fan (I'm from the Green Bay area). They are some of the friendliest folks I think I've ever met!

The hotel is just off the interstate system. It's a short six or seven block walk to get to the Market District where most of the action in town is. Capitol is an easy drive although I suppose it wouldn't be that hard to walk to it also.

I had breakfast both morning while I was there and it was a typical buffet fare. So nothing special. I had a few drinks at the bar both nights and I have to say the bartender was very funny. She had us all cracking up.

I had a king bed room on the top floor facing away from the interstate which made it very quite. Arkansas was having a hot weekend for October (mid 80's) but the AC in the room made it very pleasant.

Only real downside to this hotel was the WI-FI did not work well. It was free however the signal was very weak and I kept losing my connection.

Overall it was an excellent stay and I'll stay there again next time I'm in Little Rock.

Room Tip: Get a room facing away from the interstate system. They are very quite.

“Excellent Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

We stayed at this hotel on 2 seperate occasions during our holiday. The staff very friendly and helpful. Lots to look at inside the very large lobby area,of Presidents gifts etc.Camp David restaurant inside this Hotel serves wonderful food and service good. Next to this is a smallish bar area and they have Happy hr from 4pm to 6pm? as well. The beds were very comfortable, with a choice of firmness pillows. Free internet service just off the reception. We used the hotel shuttle for visiting President Clintons Library and also from the airport. This would make a very nice first overnight stop, as i read if Restaurant closed when you arrive they do serve some hot food. Hotel sparkled.

“So much more than I expected”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2011

I chose this hotel because it was close to the business I was working with for the week. Before making my final selection, I spoke with a few locals and received mixed reviews. Half of those polled state it was ok and the other half said maybe. Overall, everyone agreed that it would be acceptable for the purpose of which I would be there. As a result of the reviews I chose a premium room in hopes of offsetting the disappointment I anticipated.

Needless to say, the upgrade was not necessary. The lobby was bright and inviting, the presidential memorabilia was engrossing and museum-like and the staff was far friendlier than I had encountered in a long time.

The restaurant Camp David was so well designed that every seat was a good seat and the bar staff and atmosphere made me feel as if I were at the local watering hole with familiar faces. More importantly, the food was great. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all given the same first-class attention and the patrons are very attentive.

Overall this hotel proved to be more than a “good night’s sleep”. Its welcoming staff and cheerful environment makes you feel pretty good about being away from home.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good, but asking for a room away from the elevator will ensure a quiet night sleep
