This hotel supposedly caters to medical patients. The UAMS MIRT is the world's best center for treatment of Multiple Myeloma bone marrow cancer. This hotel states they use fragrance free cleaners, but they do not. They have no grab bars in the tub/showers, and do not use non skid strips, so if you are going there in a frail state, be cautious. The free breakfast is meticulously maintained, laundry is $1.00 to wash, $1.00 to dry. There is a 24-hour workout room that does the job, and the 2BR suites are great if you need a kitchen. By the week or month, it is less expensive (approximately $2400 per month). The business center is simple, well maintained and open 24 hours a day. DEFINITELY great location (with free but bumpy and not air conditioned shuttle) for UAMS. Down the road is another similar outfit (GuestHouse Inn) that rents apartment style suites for about half the price.

My sister and I took our dad to UAMS for surgery.We spent one night in this hotel. I don't know how this place can stay in business. The air conditioning didn't work in our first room and the beds were so uncomfortable. We were moved to another room where the AC did work but it was so loud it kept us awake most of the night.
Another problem was a huge crack under the door. We had to stuff a towel in it to keep the dust and heat out. A very bad situation for Dad who has breathing problems.
The price was so high I considered it robbery.
Our next trip to LR we found we found a very nice hotel close to this one for much less cost, great service and very clean, comfortable room.

There is nothing truly special about this Inn, but nothing truly terrible either. We were here for a medical emergency, and spent two nights while I had surgery at UAMS. While I would not choose it for a vacation/leisure visit to Little Rock, it was convenient to the hospital, area restaurants (mostly fast food), etc. The staff was friendly enough, even though we checked in at around 2am after leaving the hospital emergency dept. Our room was clean -- laminate floors, two double beds, and a small fridge and microwave. I don't know if they have actual suites, but our accomodations were definitely not in the "suite" catagory. It was comfortable enough, though. Breakfast was not as fully stocked as a Holiday Inn Express or a Hampton Inn, but it was filling, with toast, bagels, cereal, yogurt, juice and coffee. The breakfast room staff was very friendly and helpful, and kept items stocked. I even noticed one of them helping an elderly lady fill her tray and then delivered it to her room, a nice touch. In an emergency we would stay here again for the convenient location near UAMS. For a pleasure trip, there are better choices.

My sister-in-law and I stayed here for several nights during my brother's stay at UAMS. This Inn is run like a small family B&B instead of the usual impersonal hotel chain. They definitely cater to hospital patients and family members. I purchased a gift certificate for my sister-in-law to stay for additional nights, but before she could use the certificate, my brother passed away. Several months later when she located the gift certificate, she contacted Cynthia at the Inn. Cynthia immediately refunded the gift certificate. You just don't find this kind of response and genuine compassion from the large hotel chains. The location is very convenient to the hospitals and several restaurants. One of the real highlights of the Inn is the free breakfasts. I expected the usual "free breakfast" foods, but much to my surprise the breakfasts were healthy, varied and plentiful - several types of cereal, fresh fruits, varied bagels, breads, pastries.
