“Bed Bugs!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 March 2011 via mobile

This hotel is terrible. My wife and coworker got a room here while on a business trip. While in her bed she felt something crawling on her. When she got up and turned on the light she found a bug in her bed. She then killed the bug and blood bursted from the bug! "A bed Bug!" She then searched the bed and found more. She then caught one of the bugs in a tissue and took it to the front desk, explained what she had found and asked for a refund. The clerk was un willing to refund her money so she asked to speek with the Mgr. Not only would the Mgr. Not give her a refund but he insinuated that she brought the bug with her. After my wife called me and explained what happened I called and spoke with the Mgr. Myself and he told me the same thing over the phone. I travel for a living and spend a great deal of time staying in hotels and have never crossed paths with a hotel Mgr. as unreasonable as this man. Just him implying that my wife brought the bed bug with her speaks volumes about what he thinks of his patrons. This is the type of person that does not need to be running any sort of service business.Bed Bugs while you hear manny people joke about them are really not a joking matter. They carry and spread diseases which are harmful to people. This hotel is knowingly putting its customers at risk without warning them of the hazard and this should to be allowed.

“Lovely Place to Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 March 2010

I enjoyed my stay here thoroughly. Room was very clean and comfortable. If you're staying for business purposes, this is a good choice, as their high speed internet really is high speed. I downloaded a movie very quickly, faster than my internet at home.
I really enjoyed my stay here and would highly reccomend.

“Perfect for the overnight traveler”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2008

I was looking for a simple clean place to shower and sleep. This hotel provided that exactly.

POSITIVES:
Very friendly front desk personnel.
A value accommodation.
Everything that the basic traveler would need was there.
No frills.

NEGATIVES
Original room assignment did not agree with the accommodation request I made with the Manager. However, this was corrected once I was checked in.
Slightly musty smell in the room.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
For a good night's sleep, be sure to request a room that is NOT on the freeway side of the property. Interstate 40 is directly across the street, and there are a lot of overnight truckers on the road all night long, and those rigs are loud.
McDonald's is off to the side of this hotel. Request a room on that side of the building. The smell of their cooking oil might distract you, but it won't disrupt your sleep the way the trucks do.

  • Liked — the friendliness of the staff
  • Disliked — its proximity to the Interstate highway

“Wouldn't Recommend!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 May 2008

We were expecting to be near the airport, since the name indicated it was close. It was actually 2 exits away, which wasn't too bad, but it was situated right next to the Interstate. We could hear the semis going by all night long. The room was marked as "non-smoking," but smelled really bad of stale cigarette smoke. It made the room seem unclean. We will not be staying here, again.

“Great Stay for the Price!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 June 2007

The motel is about 4 years old. It is located right off of 440 and next door to a McDonalds. Be sure to ask for a room facing McDonalds or your rest will be broken by the freeway noise.

The check-in process was quick and easy. I booked on hotwire and called to confirm non-smoking rooms and specific bed types. My request was quickly accomodated the same day of my booking.

There is a 24 hour Exxon gas station with a convenience store located across the street. This is perfect for early morning or late night snack runs. The rooms come with a mini-fridge, microwave, and free wireless service. I was impressed with the cherry furnishings and nice updated bedding. The wood furnishings do need minor cosmetic touch-up, as do the shower fixtures. The tub was clean enough for a shower but I wouldn't sit down or anything.

They also serve breakfast. It is packaged pastries, juice and coffee. For the price it was perfect for a quick in and out trip in Little Rock. The amenities on Hotwire indicated a pool but there was no pool and of course as most motels are, this is an outside entry motel. However, I felt very safe at this location.
