Made an overnight stop here over the Christmas holidays while travelling to DFW. I have always been more than pleased with the Springhill product, but not this time. I understand that the hotel probably had a low occupancy due to it being Christmas week, and they schedueled a "skeleton" crew, but the one person that we had interaction with was indifferent and cared more about surfing facebook on the "public" lobby computer than actually assisting the guests. We found a hair on the pillow case and requested fresh sheets, which we had to pick up ourselves from downstairs due to housekeeping had already gone home for the evening. The room had many "quick-fixes"...messy caulk work, poor cover-up paint. The beds were comfortable, and the kids loved the indoor swimming pool. The morning staff was much improved and the breakfast was decent.

We stayed at this motel twice; once in Dec. and once in Jan. Both times the rooms, lobby, etc. were very clean. Plenty of thick, white towels, soaps, shampoos, etc. Lg, flat tv in room. The mattresses were too hard for my comfort; didn't sleep well. There was a lg, flat screen tv, desk, kitchenette area with sink, desk, fridge, microwave, and love seat and stuffed chair. The room was a nice temp when we arrived and it smelled fresh.

The 2nd stay we soon saw the donuts on the breakfast bar were completely dried out and hard as rocks. An employee told me the staff knew about them before guests arrived for their breakfasts. I told the desk personnel but got no response. I was very disappointed they left this lg tray of donuts for the guests to discover. There weren't many staying there that night so guess they thought the few guests who were there wouldn't notice them or complain about them. Very tacky!! An insult!! The rest of the breakfast bar had a variety of good coffees, juices, yogurts, cooked oats w/toppings, sausage, eggs, cereals, waffles, apples, oranges, etc. We did not use the pool but it looked very clean.

I hesitate to stay again at this motel because of the hard mattresses. If this isn't a problem for you, then I recommend it.

We're frequent Marriott visitors. I approached this location with some caution because the price was cheaper than usual. But everything was great. The room was spacious and clean, the breakfast was fine, the staff were friendly, the place was quiet and the location is perfect. It's close to several good restaurants. We'd definitely return.

I stayed two for nights in the middile of the week (Sep 6 & 7) and it was fine. My big TV (the one in the living room) didn't work, but one of the staff came right up and fixed it. Although the scrambled eggs may have been cooked hours earlier, I still ate them (plus a few other items).

Breakfast officially started at 6, but it looked like everything was out when I left for the airport at 5.
