“Good hotel, had no problems”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

My room was clean, my bed comfortable, the view excellent. Staff was efficient & friendly throughout the 4 night stay for a conference. Some nits to pick - I was near the elevator which whooshed up & down 24 hours a day & it was hard to get the temperature as cool as I'd have liked it (this was in January). The valet parking price ($20+tax) was outrageous, especially for outside parking.

“Very dissapointing”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Arrived with high expectation for a 4 star hotel, but if I was the inspector I would have given them a max ofd 2 stars. Service very poor as the quality of the rooms. All the bath linens were worse that a motwel 6 and I had to go after a housekeeper to have my bathrobe changed. With the excuse of been green they try as max as possible not to change even the linens. we stayed 6 nights for abar and restaurant n Innkeepers conference and I had tpo call twice the front desk to have them changed. The Bar and restaurants are very expensive and the quality of their food mediocre at best. They do not even have a common area where you can sit and chat without having to buy drinks. The room was nice but no refrigerator and we had to ask for one for my medications. Arrived but was very noisy and old. Stay away and if you have to go stay at the Capitol accross the street. Excellent service and food at more reasonable price. The most incredible was an evening when we went for dinner there and on the way out the doorman offered us a bottle per person of fresh water for the night even though we were not customer of the hotel. The is class!

Room Tip: Try tio have a room on the water.

“They need to sweat the small stuff”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

My personal experience here was so oddly mixed. I did have warm service from all of the employees. A request I made had not been honored, I was given a restaurant comp. So far so good. Room was clean and bathroom, towels etc were all clean and tidy. Newspapers arrived every morning as requested. The service in general, however was really slow and the internet was impossibly slow! I needed some stuff printed out and the e-mail the concierge gave me was incorrect ( he didn't get the e-mail I was sending from my room THREE times) then he said he would have it at the concierge desk for me to pick up right away. It wasn't ready the NEXT DAY when I needed it. I had to log in to his computer and print it out myself. 2 times I called the concierge and there was no answer at all. Every day the slow internet caused me problems...Food in the restaurant was very good and Ryan the waiter was excellent! 5 stars to him. Gift shop wasn't open all the time ( even when it was supposed to be) My opinion is that they don't get enough large groups ( I was part of a huge group) to work out all the kinks in service. It is not second nature... I think everyone was trying but it wasn't smooth at all. Bartender was friendly and made good drinks... but when one sat at a table in the bar service was very slow. I would stay again because it was priced right, but you must expect alot of weird service issues.....Oh yes... no coffee maker!!! What gives??

Room Tip: ?? ask for a coffee maker

“Bed & Breakfast Conference at the Peabody in Little Rock”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We were grateful that the Peabody accepted our 16 week old cocker spaniel puppy as a registered guest. That was our highpoint. Our pet friendly room was NOT on the 4th or 5th room, as promised, but on the 8th floor -more time to ride the elevator to get to the green grass. We reported the old uncared for stains on the carpeting to the housekeeping department as soon as we arrived. There were pieces of string and lint on the carpet that made my wonder if it had been vacummed. The $20 per day to park our truck in the alley was a little much - or so we thought. The restaurant was overpriced for quality of food. Although the hotel sold their bed linens, the ones on our bed were nothing like what our Select Registry bed and breakfast uses and the toilet paper was cheap and thin. I think this hotel property is a bit tired - great location and staff was cordial. We were disappointed - had hoped to pampered like we pamper our own guests. The duck walk was a hoot! However, reservations did NOT point out to us that we could not check in with our puppy around duck walk time - think they missed a good opportunity there. Conference rooms and meeting rooms were everywhere...could have done better with signage!

Room Tip: Thought the business center was pricey, too. Perhaps there's a newer side to this property and w...

“Five Duck One Star Hotel at Best”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Stayed at this place for the PAII conference. Room was dirty, furniture was dirty with nasty spots. Carpet was stained. Bathroom was ok. Restaurant was mediocre. I left a couple of items in the room when I left. I e-mailed them asking them to return the items to me and never got a reply. When I called to find out what was going on they said the items were never turned in. So obviously the house keeper stole them. I asked if she was questioned and got a wishy washy answer. She should be fired. Not even an apology about their not contacting me. I usually stay at a bed and breakfast. I have never left an item at a bed and breakfast that was not returned to me. Lesson learned here: never stay at a faceless corporation where no one cares a damn about you when you can stay at a bed and breakfast. Thanks for nothing Peabody Little Rock
