Older motel, without much remodeling. Once we got key cards that worked (problem blamed on nearness of our cellphones erasing them)...The first ground floor room we were given had the delightful residual scent of RAID bug spray. Water damage and peeling paint. Had to leave shoes on because the carpets were so dirty. The towels were like sandpaper, and about as absorbant. The sheets are cheap and threadbare. The one blanket probably wouldn't be suitable to give to goodwill. Alarm clock could be set by minute-hour adjustment was broken. As was hair dryer.
Second room, on second floor, on second day was better, but had to go to office to get towels, washcloths, and kleenex. No alarm clock or hair dryer, either.
Male desk clerk (owner?), not very helpful or friendly. Seemed to be inconvienenced. Showed us how to access the indoor pool lock, but neglected to tell us that the pool would be shut down for the season the following day (a Saturday!).
The breakfast consists of stale cereal and watered down juice, and questionable milk. Even wondered if disposible bowls and cups hadn't been used and washed.
You can hear every room door within 6 of your room close. Same with anyone walking past. If you are unfortunate enough to be put on the ground floor, anyone above you sounds like a herd of elephants-even if they are trying to be quiet.
The owners should put some of the money they get from us suckers into making some repairs, renovations, and buying some new linens.
Our advise? Spend the additional $12 and get a room at a real hotel or motel.
