The Baker House is exceptional from an architectual standpoint. The rooms are large and the value of staying here exceptional. They have soda, water, cookies, popcorn and wine gratis each day. The shampoos and soaps are lovely. The downside is that the Baker house is situated in the commercail part of Cedar City and overlooks the local gas station. When we drove up we noted a for sale sign, which I believe is the result of some health issues of the owners. The owners were nice enough most of the time, but it was evident that they were not as entusiastic as they once might have been. When my teenaged daughter asked for a piece of paper and pen, the owner was a bit grumpy. It fetl like they were on their last leg of the B and B trip. So if you are not going to be hanging around the B and B, it is a nice value, clean, great food. But do not bring any young children. Our teen girls are experienced travelers, well behaved and quiet. If you have a rambuncious family this is not for you. Breakfast is only served at 9:00AM, which for us outdoors people is way late. I told the owners we were leaving early one moning and they did make sure the coffee was out before we left. So all in all it was not a bad experience, just know the shortcomings due to, I believe, one parties long term illness.
