“Barebones, but Clean”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2011

Well, when you book into a Motel 6, you know what you are getting-the cheapest price you can find. This one, right off I15, looks fairly new. It is well-maintained outside and in. The room, and bathroom, was nice and clean. You get a bar of soap, nothing else, and a couple of midget-sized bath towels-they gave us extra at the front desk. They did have free internet. No clock radio. Was a little noisey, thin walls, but not really bad-everyone else is there to sleep, not party. Free coffee but nothing else.
So, a great budget-saver, this hotel!

“over priced for a Motel 6”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2010

This was one of the newer Motel 6, so, over priced.
We needed a room at the last minute while traveling. We were giving a tiny room, but it worked.
The beds super soft, my husband love it, me I like a firm a bed. The pillows were flat but the bedding was new and the room was clean.
The staff was good, not over the top friendly, but we had been on the road for 15 hours so I don't think we cared how they treated us, just wanted to sleep.
Would stay here again, but would try to find something cheaper first.
Our GPS in the morning said there was a Starbucks but couldn't find it, settled for fast food coffee.

“Just what I expect from a Motel 6, clean & comfortable.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2010

The motel staff was friendly. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and it appeared to be one of the newer motels. There was a bit of plumbing noise coming from the wall adjacent to the bathroom (assume it was a plumbing chase), but it was only occasional and not unbearable. But as with other Motel 6's you get the basics; an affordable room with no frills and a towel that can double as sand paper. I guess you could say the towels are "exfoliating".
Overall, I would say the room was what I expect when staying at a Motel 6.
However, in the morning I noticed a bite mark on my left shoulder and suspect it could have been my first bed bug bite. I never saw any bed bugs there and didn't go to a doctor because it wasn't causing me any trouble. So I can't say for sure it was a bed bug that bit me or that I got the bite at that motel. But I understand that bed bugs are a problem in even the best of hotels nowadays. So I would go back and stay at this motel and recommend it to others if you are just looking for a clean comfortable place to sleep.

“Satisfactory accommodation at this Motel 6”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 June 2009

A perfectly adequate overnight stay at this typical Motel 6. Not a lot to say really: the motel is located handily just off the Interstate, there's plenty of free parking. Check in was quick and easy, room OK and clean. The staff were OK but perhaps a little overworked as they were often away from the desk doing other things to do with the running of the motel. Would I stay there again? Yes.

“OK, but I'm not going back.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 March 2009

I don't rate motels too often but if I were to create some sort of standard I would make "no shampoo" an automatic -2/5 stars. Seriously, no shampoo?! I stayed there the past two nights for business and have no intention of staying there again for any more trips. First of all, in the google search results for "cedar city motel 6" a summary from motel 6's website says it has a pool. Guess what, no pool. Open the bathroom door and you see an all white room complete with about 6 towels and two tiny bars of soap. It felt more sterile than a hospital room. And it's not like I walk into a motel looking for free stuff but two bars of soap and four plastic cups is well below even the most minimal expectations for anyone. Already mentioned the shampoo but good luck enjoying your shower even if you brought your own shampoo (hey, you can always buy some at the front desk for 50 cents! Seriously, you can't provide shampoo, we have to buy it from you?) because not only is the water pressure incredibly low but you've got to wedge yourself in an acute angle of your triangle shaped bathtub just to get the water on your head so you spend more time avoiding the cold shower curtain or the wall than you do enjoying your shower. If 3 stars is average then maybe I should give this 1 star because I'm pretty sure "enjoying your shower on the most basic levels of human comfort" is an average goal for most motels. And oh yeah, the TV kept randomly changing channels (possibly due to a downstairs kid wanting to watch Nickelodeon and my remote might have been having the same effect on his TV).
In retrospect anything positive I have to say about this place is really just average stuff any motel should have. But it did have wireless internet so that was good.
