“Overrated, Smelly and incompettent”

I waited 45 minutes, no joke, to check-in, the staff were indifferent to the wait of mine and fellow guests. They displayed no sign of adequate training of the hotels processes or even a hint of customer service. I had booked a King size bed, but told they only had single beds left, so much for booking in advance. They did suggest that I could contact the manager directly to see if he could help. A message was left for the manager, but along with the hotels customer care policy, have not heard from him. Our company uses this hotel, but they will be redirected elsewhere. I won’t start on smell and excrement of dogs, as the hotel has a broad policy of dogs staying in rooms with their owners……..

Greetings from New York City,

A 45 minute wait is certainly excessive, especially travelling from a distant location. As a business traveler, I am sure you would like nothing more than getting to your destination and your room quickly and hassle free. We cannot apologize enough for this gaff. While the Hotel does experience busy check-in periods it is no reason to ask a guest to wait for such a long time. I plan to follow up with our Front Desk Agents and Front Office Managers to discuss ways to streamline our busiest times and communications. If you wish to provide any recommendations, you comments would prove invaluable.

From your description it sounds as if your stay coincided with the Westminster Dog Show. The 2-day event brings an unusual number of dogs to the property. While it is a short event, the Hotel implements a number of procedures to minimize disruption to other guests. Show dogs are confined to specific floors and restricted from many areas. I assure you, this is not a regular occurrence.

If you are still staying on property and have a few moments to spare, I would love the opportunity to speak. Please ask for me directly. I can be reached via extension 7161.

Sincerely,
Tara Williams

“Great value near MSG / Penn Station”

I stayed here one night for business and was pleasantly surprised. For some reason, I wasn't expecting much from a radisson, but I was wrong. Of course, rooms are pretty small in NYC, but the room was spotless and appeared to have been recently renovated. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Gym is small but clean and not crowded. Location is awesome- so much within walking distance. I will definitely be back.

“Excellent location, staff, and accommodations!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

Paid $79 per night (Saturday through Tuesday), an EXCELLENT rate for this location. I used eStandby to request an upgrade to a suite for $25 more per night (came with free breakfast and one free drink per person per day). So for $104 per night, we had a suite (which was HUGE by NYC standards), free breakfast and free drinks. Excellent value! Accomodations were very nice. Very clean hotel. Staff was very professional and courteous. We had a suite on the second penthouse level (18th flr). The room was very spacious with a sofabed and a nook (about the size of a walk in closet) for the coffee machine. Bathroom was tiny, but functional enough. We weren't impressed with the Sleep Number bed, but that's just our preferance. The breakfast buffet, which came with the suite (or is $18.95 per person), was lacking. I would say this was the only downfall of the stay. The food was not very good. if it doesn't come free with your room, don't bother! As for the location of this hotel, it is PERFECT! 10 minute walk to Times Square, short subway ride downtown (Financial District, Chelsea, etc). The subway is literally at the front door to the hotel. There is also plenty of shopping and eating on the same block as the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again in the future.

“Great location, professional staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Stayed over the week leading up to New Year's eve. Very convenient for Times Square and environs. Hotel room was a bit on the small side but did just manage to accommodate our family of four. Staff very courteous and helpful to us, and the cafe on the street level was very good.

“All good”

I can't speak highly enough of this hotel and its staff. I stayed there in December and the staff there were very nice indeed, and they were super-super-helpful during the EXTREMELY difficult moments (not hotel-related) that I experienced in the first two days in NYC. My room was great and the breakfast was too. I'd recommend it to anyone and I'll definitely be going back there again. Big thankyou to all of you there!
