was worried about staying here in advance of our break based on some reviews but was very satisfied with hotel. great location, value for money and very friendly staff. Yes rooms small, but they were clean and met our needs - bed and shower is all you need when in New York - not going to spend too long in your hotel!!!!

We stayed at the Wellington for 4 nights, when we arrived after our 10 hour trip the room was not ready which was disappointing. Room was small but was adequate for us to rest our heads after a long day in New York. Bath towels were as small as hand towels and no where to dry them so had to request clean towels each day. We enjoyed our stay

Room was clean, small- cozy. Can't say much bad because the location was perfect! The price was half of those around us (using Priceline name your price) so I would come back. Downsides.... Rooms were small and a little out dated so if your looking for your five star huge room this is not it, if your looking for a clean place to sleep at night- perfect. Walls were thin so we did hear more then we wanted from the neighbors, I may bring ear plugs next time, and no refridgerator in room which was a downfall. Though overall good for the price and close to everything! The diner downstairs is one of the cheapest we found for breakfast - vs. some places next door being $50 + for breakfast for 2. Also they do provide shampoo, soap, hair dryer... Sum it up... Clean/cheap/location/small/old

Just returned from the Wellington and would definatley stay here again.

Checked in on Friday late afternoon, plenty staff on reception. The hotel does charge for wifi but when we checked in we asked if there was any chance of complimentary wifi for the room and we were given this for the length of our stay so it is worth asking!!!
We had asked for a room with a view of times square and were allocated a room on the 21st floor looking out onto times square.

The room itself was fairly small and the bed wasn't even a full double, but everything was clean and comfortable and we didn't spend much time in the room anyway. Room was cleaned everyday while we were there.

Staff on reception were very helpful and always on hand to help with any questions.

Hotel is a couple of blocks from Central Park, 5 minute walk to Times Square, and a subway station just steps away.

Didn't eat at the hotel but cafe metro is just along from the hotel and the breakfast there was very nice and very reasonable.
