We stayed here for a long stay of three weeks. If you are in NYC for an extended period this place is perfect. Great amenities (indoor pool) quiet street but centrally located. Could probably use a little more maintenance in apartments. The staff is friendly and helpful, it's basically like renting a condo with hotel service

Arrived after a long 30 hours travel from Australia, and were greeted by the most friendly desk-staff ever. The suite was spacious, smart and clean. The quiet location assured a good night's sleep in the comfortable beds. The pool was a highlight- our children used it every day, beautifully clean and inviting. Free wi-fi was valuable. The staff were so friendly, and really treated us more like family that guests, at the same time were very professional. It really made a great holiday even better!!

We stayed here in June 2011 and loved it. We had a two bedroom suite and the rooms were very large. The kitchen was small, but plenty of room for cooking breakfast and dinner. My kids loved the pool and it was nice for them to have a place to ply after a day of sigh seeing. The location is very convenient to many places in New York and there is a grocery store around the block. The neighborhood felt very safe for walking at night and was quiet by NY standards. The staff was very friendly and always helpful with questions and suggestions.
The only negative comment is that the hotel is starting to show its age and could use new carpet and paint in hallways. Overall it was a great hotel and we will definitely stay when we return.

When I’m in New York I want an apartment, in an upmarket neighbourhood, with an excellent deli and wine shop across the street. As a result we have become addicted to the AKA Sutton Place. We try and take the same spacious apartment each time we go and we settle in. The staff sorts everything with maximum efficiency, minimum fuss and genuine warmth and good humour. We love this place. It is extremely comfortable and spacious. It feels like coming home, its understated, its private and the you get the sense that everyone staying their feels as lucky as we do to have found it. The added bonus is the swimming pool, a rarity in New York. Our problem is that can’t think of staying anywhere else, and well, yes, it’s not inexpensive but it’s a great deal. If you want to be a New Yorker and not a tourist this the place.
