we arrived 6th of feb 2012 hoping to find the hotel which looked like the photos on the website .... yes the reception was as photographed, but the first room we were shown you couldn't swing a cat in we were staying for five days so did have two suitcases but there was nowhere to even put your case.............the second room wasnt much better.....................the third room was a twin double so at least there was room for luggage ect ,the rooms were clean but very dated in need of painted desperately the carpets were very worn .
we go away often and have stayedin lots of hotels i didnt pick the cheapeast at £110 a night room only !!!!would expect better we were offered a free breakfast for the inconvtnience and that sumed up the whole hotel staff were lazy the plates were dirty and the so called breakfast was in hot plates and looked like it had been there for hours!!!!! glad we hadnt paid for it.
the porters were very polite but the receptionist was not helpful and all he kept saying about our complaint about the rooms was "what do you expect this is new york"!!!! my reply was he getting paid $150 a day and whether he would have used his hard earned wages to stay there???
i have never put anything on trip advisor before but had booked this for my bpartners 40th birthday so wasnt impressed. this was an ok location although try and pick a hotel nearer times square or on broadway as this hotel is a good 10-15 mins walk to times square this hotel although clean was not good value for money.
