I just got home from New York and wanted to write about my trip. First of all, I stayed at this little hotel called Marrakech Hotel. It was not in the heart of Times Square but was fine with me. This meant it was quieter, less crowded and best part, CHEAPER than hotels I previously stayed at in times square. I thought my time at the hotel was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean. It was different from any other hotel I ever.stayed at. It was moroccan style so the room had more color than other hotels. I felt housekeeping did a good job.cleaning everyday. there was a nice flat tv on the wall and bed was comfy.

Nearby was several restaurants including Starbucks practically in the hotel, Broadway bagels next block and metro diner. While not in midtown, the subway on the corner took me to times square in 15 minutes, even at night after the theater let out.

Oh yeah, did I mentioned I paid like $100 less a night the when I stayed.last year in times square..... Perfect. I love saving $$$

I would stay here again if and when I return to NYC. The thing I love most in this hotel is location with reasonable price. I like it closer to Metro and Restaurants and Bars since it's safe to walk around late night. I shopped constantly while there and had amassed quite alot. Mostly, it was great for me to visit Columbia University since it is just around the corner so that people or students who want temporary to visit Upper West Side. I highly recommend to go here.

Just a simple hotel, but a very good location. Next to the metro and Starbucks.

This place seems to be so small it could be an ex-tenement. The stairs are a bit rough for someone who is carrying bags or children. Booking on the phone can be a nightmare. Toilet is liable to clog. Parking is off-site and two blocks away (which is a LONG two blocks at night, if you catch my drift).

This said, the hotel room is beautifully decorated, the bed was warm and comfortable, and the television was high definition (when the channels wanted to work). Subway stop right across the street makes transportation easy. Staff was friendly, no problems to report - overall an interesting stay! Would stay here again!
