My wife and in stayed at the Omni Bearkshire on Febuary 11. The newly remodeled hotel provided nicely appointed rooms. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Not a bad deal for the price.

I stayed here while apartment hunting before I moved to NYC. Having stayed in several 4-star midtown hotels on the east side over the past couple years, I believe this is the best value and location. Rooms have been recently updated, modern fixture and amenities, and decent size. I believe I paid around $150-200, and felt this was good value. Having stayed at the Intercontinental (no hot water early in am), City Club (ridiculously small room), this beats them hands down. Not a lot to "see" on the premises but the restaurant is quiet and food was just fine. If I needed a NYC hotel would definitely come back.

We were there Mother's Day weekend ... and they had special pastries and Mom's Day cookies in the lobby - nice touch.

We stayed here for 1 night on a free night certificate, you get in their select guest program, after staying 10 nights or more. We love the Omni hotel chain and their guest program. Their program is the best program in the world, with free beverages every morning, so you can start with some nice coffee before ever leaving your room. Our stay in the Berkshire was completely flawless, with chocolate raspberry's at turn down and of course the morning beverages. The room was very nice for New York standards, but with a small bathroom. The hotel has a great location, close to the subway, and the beds are extremely comfortable. I can't flaw the hotel nor the staff in any way, it was excellent. However the regular price you have to pay of around 300 dollars a night, is only because it's centrally located in Manhatten. I have stayed in Omni hotels for less, which were even better.

Hotels in NY are notoriously bad value for money an in this context the Omni is not a bad deal. I paid USD 295, for a clean, quiet, modern and efficient room in a great location. No coffee maker in the room, but I did manage to get coffee and orange juice sent up at 5.30am. Everything works and the staff are about as helpful as you can expect in NY. There is a lively noisy bar and a decent restaurant in the hotel.
