This hotel typifies the Empire State with its grand facade, entrance and feel. This is a fine hotel with great typical Four Seasons service and there is not much to criticize other than I don't have a preference for this area or hotel. Usually for me Four Seasons hotels are a given but in this case I prefer downtown to mid town and felt this hotel lacked an intimacy that I apprecaite at Four Seasons properties. Again the service was good and I have no specific complaints other than I prefer intimacy over Empire grandeur.

I have stayed at the Four Seasons New York several times and each time it gets better. You never have to wait in line and the lobby, with it's incredible design is one of my favorite parts of the hotel. Each floor only has a few rooms, thus you never have noise issues, and as with all Four Seasons (or at least I think all of them,) you can leave your shoes in a bag overnight and they will polish them for you by morning.

I have only eaten at the bar in the restaurant and the food is always good.

My one complaint - sometimes the housekeepers take awhile to clean the room (i.e. they spend a lot of time cleaning.) I once ran out to shop for a bit and when I came back, they were still in there. This NOT a problem, actually a testament to the cleanliness, but just a warning that you should probably leave the privacy sign on the door if you're only going to be out for a bit.

If you have the budget for it, and want a convenient location near Park and Madison Avenues, as well as close proximity to everything else - definitely spend at least one night at this property in your lifetime. It is well worth it.

Stayed at Four Seasons NYC on December 2011. It´s a nice hotel, and despite the bar, restaurant and the awsome architeture, the best is the staff, always ready to help and make your stay unique. They´re very attentive and helpful. Why not 5 stars? Because from my room, in the 23rd floor, I could ear teh elevador in the morning. And, compared to Four Seasons in Paris (Georege V), FSNY has a long way to learn how to flatter.

One of the most spacious hotel rooms you can find! every room feels like a suite and the lemon ricotta pancakes are amazing! check out lavo across the street! Used to stay at the st regis but now stay here every time!
