Got a great deal using the Hotel Tonight app. Really enjoyed the property - definitely is an ultra-modern hip hotel. If you only stay at Marriotts or Starwood hotels, you will likely not "get" this place. Likely a bit of a lifestyle shock.
Else, I highly recommend as the customer service was excellent and enjoyed the great location to walk to SoHo in minutes.
Definitely will be back my next time in the Big Apple.

So we had originally booked a 2 night stay at the thompson lower east sides, but due to unforeseen circumstances, the guests did not check out of the room so they were forced to send us over to Smyth. The way the front office staff handled us was incredible, they gave us money for a cab ride to Smyth, also tells us that we don't need to worry our luggage and just get on with our day, cause they will send it over to Thompson LES the next day. When we checked into Thompson after roaming around the city, our bags were already in our room and we were upgraded to a studio king suite. When we checked out, we only had to pay for a one night stay. Talk about customer service!
Pros: excellent customer service, beautiful view of sunrise, in the soho area - great for partying and shopping
Cons: the lighting is a little bit more on the dark side. wish there was more chairs for tanning by the pool.

We stayed here this past weekend and the hotel is beautiful and the staff was very friendly. The perfect location for the LES. We had a room on the 12th floor with a huge wrap around balcony. the views of nyc are magnificent. The hotel is extremely clean also. We will def. stay again.

Let me just say from inside and out the Thompson Les is "Perfect". I arrived during the night and was welcomed by the bellman who kindly took my bags without hesitation. Upon check-in I was greeted by the front desk and manager. Check-in process was informative and easy. The room was spacious and beautiful, especially after my room was service. Their bar/lounge was pretty good/loud as well, a bit slow on drink service but good nonetheless. I would defiantly stay here again and highly recommend to those who need astounding service and superb rooms.

(Always have 8 1/2 playing at the hotel, should I be expecting a change in movie next visit?)
