Only just been able to write this review as we have been so busy since returning home to uk in dec 11. My thoughts instantly returned to our wonderful 6 day break to New York, I would like to say THANKYOU ... Your staff were more like friends, always there to help, I couldnt sleep because of the time difference, they were always there to have a chat, If we were out for the day, they helped us with directions and if required tickets as well and on return always ask with interest how we got on. When we arrived I couldnt get over the lovely smell as we entered the Hotel, it was very clean. The Diner next door was amaizing, we even made a few friends while in there, The people were really friendly, a lovely safe place to go with great food. We took our 18yr old daughter to celebrate her birthday, along with our older daughter, we had plenty of room in our suite. It was hot but better than being cold. We cant wait to go again, and look forward to bringing our other children with us. Once again thankyou all so much, we all get a complete buzz thinking about our wonderful time we had, It wasnt just great to see new york again, it was a great hotel, great staff, great diner, All of these things make a great holiday. I fully share comments of fellow travellers, the staff is very helpful, the rooms are extremely clean, my bathroom at least was brand new. The location is great.

The only problem is I could not sleep because of the radiator noise. It sounded like a hammer on metal pipes, very loud, and not just a few seconds but a few minutes at a time. This occurred many times during the night.
So,unless you are totally deaf, I would recommend going there at a time when heating is not on, by the way, turning off your own radiator does not solve the problem.
I hope the management will consider fixing the plumbing as sleep is the first thing a hotel sells...

I stayed at Hotel Newton this past weekend and i would return again no questions asked. When we arrived we were immediately greeted by the staff with a smile, very friendly attitude, and helpfulness so much so they went the extra mile to ensure that we enjoyed are stay. Not only will i be returning but I will be recommending it to others who plan on traveling to NY. Subways were accessible and the restaurants in the area that were recommend we're excellent. I look forward to returning in the near future. Please let your staff know from the doorman, front desk, and housekeeping that i sincerely appreciate there willingness to provide us with the best service. Its definetly a feel at home type of place.

Newton is in a great location, at a nice section of broadway. Lots of restaurants and convenient stores just outside the door. The subway stop about 50m away is an express stop, so you can travel from times square all the way back in two stops. 15min walk to central park and natural history museum. Rooms are decent size and value for money. Not in the heart of downtown but very easy to get to/from.
