If you bikers are looking for a destination which offers most everything you need and more, this place is it, particularly if you're trailering your bike to ride off on day trips. The inn is only a couple of miles from I-26, providing easy access from both the north and the south. There's no steep hills to negotiate, as is common in North Carolina, and more than amply trailer parking in a number of lots for no hassle unloading and loading. It's a relatively easy ride to many area attractions like Chimney Rock and Lake Lure, Caesar's Head State Park, Dupont State Forest and the Blue Ridge Parkway, and it's easy to get to the local towns and cities, including Flat Rock, Hendersonville and Asheville. If the weather turns really sour, safely leave your bike in the trailer and drive. You can rent a cabin or, better yet, stay at the Lodge where there's a large common room with some kitchen facilities and a big TV for hanging out and partying. Plus, there's a game room downstairs with a pool table. The extensive grounds allow you to get some exercise before the day's ride and to cool off - in a outdoor pool or in the lake - after the ride's over. The ladies will also love the gardens and the animals. While there are many excellent restaurants in Flat Rock and Hendersonville, plan to spend at least one evening at Seasons, the gourmet restaurant at the inn. Perhaps best of all, from the standpoint of fueling up for a day of riding, Seasons also hosts one of the most outstanding breakfast buffets that you will find anywhere. It's included with your room. Any place can do quantity, but Season's breakfasts do quality, variety and healthful eating all together. No matter how tired you might be, don't miss it!
Room Tip: Rooms in the Lodge on the same floor as the common area are the most convenient.
