This is a old 3 story school house located at the gateway to Capital Reef National Park in Torrey, Utah. This completely rebuilt 1916 school house has all the amenities of comfort and views of the surrounding country side. The school has a great history of pioneer Mormon settlers, Saturday night dances and photographs of a bygone life in this colossal corner of the world. Beautiful gardens, organic breakfasts, massage chairs in every room and a wonderful host. We have stayed there twice, will return many more times. Lots of windows to see the sunrise or sunset over the Colorado Plateau. If you want to explore one of the least over-run national parks in southern Utah, this is a great and central location. Near Boulder, Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, slick-rock, alpine mountains, great fishing and blessed solitude. Some great restaurants nearby.
