This is a quiet place close to the park. Service is great. Breakfast is included and have to say, better than other cheap hotel. I wouldn't recommend Capitol reef park but this hotel is recommended!

We stayed at Howard Johnson's in Torrey, May 11, 12, 13, 2012.
I cannot say enough about the kindess of the staff. The proprietor was very helpful. Accomodations were quite nice, clean and good location.
Breakfast had a good selection.
Howard Johnson has come a long way.
The room was plain and needed updating. The location is good if you are going to the park. I felt like it was an example of you get what you pay for, so for the money, I guess it was a good "Value". The manager was very nice, but it seemed like it was understaffed and he was running a 1 man show.
Our room was clean, the mattresses comfortable, the breakfast was adequate and the cleaning service was good. This is a good basic motel for exploring the Capitol Reef area, which we did for three days and had a great time. If you are looking for a resort experience, this is not the place for you.
While we were there a shipment of huge rolls of carpet arrived, so I assume there will be some upgrading going on. The owner seems pretty committed to taking good care of the place and making sure all guests are happy.
This hotel was great! The location is wonderful with views out the windows. The staff is great and always helpful. They even contacted the Days Inn for us to use their washer/dryer while their's was being repaired. Also, they have a different special mini rubber duckie they leave in the room each day. The breakfast was good. It is the place to stay in the area.
