This is a very nice place to stay - the rooms weren't overly large, but they were well appointed and nicely decorated. The towels were great - very thick for a motel, and the beds were very comfortable. It's a great place to stay to see the Capitol Reef area - close to the park and to the small towns in the area. The wifi was slow - the only negative I can think of.

LOCATION
Really easy to find as it stands alone on H-24, north-east of the town of Torrey and close to Capitol Reef NP. Quiet surroundings and a great view of the scenery. Pizza place opposite, but other amenities such as fuel are a short distance away in Torrey.

MOTEL
Large modern motel resort. Helpful reception, pool, hot-tub, snack machine, restaurant, gift-shop, No meals included in package we took.

ROOM
We stayed in a Superior King Room with Balcony (room 124). Really nice large room. Well appointed with attractive decore. Spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. Nice bathroom with quality toiletries and hairdryer. Microwave, coffee machine and fridge. Reliable WiFi. Balcony with great views, but no table/chairs.

WOULD I STAY AGAIN?
Yes, without doubt

VALUE FOR MONEY?
For sure

COULD DO BETTER?
TV reception was a bit poor and furniture on balcony would be nice

The location and facilities were excellent. The morning view from the deck of our first floor room was beautiful and absolutely breath taking. The hotel manager was very pleasant and helpful.

We really did not have any complaints other than the attitude of the clerk at the front desk on the evening that we checked in. She was trying to classify my husband's certified medical alert service dog as a "pet" and put us into a "pet" designated room. That wasn't so much the issue as her arguing with us about her "knowledge" of ADA compliance law which she clearly did not have. Service dogs are NEVER classified as "Pets." After speaking with her manager, she did apologize to us and we were given the room that we were originally booked in. On our first night there, we also had dinner at the onsite restaurant. The service in the restaurant was very poor. The server was not responsive to our requests and it finally took asking the manager of the restaurant to get cream for my husband's coffee after we had already asked the server 3 times. The next morning, we saw this server doing some other hotel related duties, so restaurant service was probably not her regular job as it certainly appeared that she did not have the personality or the skills required to keep customers happy.

The hotel is a former Best Western. Nice rooms, ours had a balcony and a beautiful view. Breakfast was not included, but we had a very good breakfast at the restaurant that was on the property of the hotel. Room was clean and ok but we did have some issues with the tv signal. The maintenance guy responded quickly but could not really resolve the issue. Be aware that a lot of restaurants in ths area are closed in november, so your dining options are limited.

We booked one night on arrival and added one more night when we saw the rooms, the beds and the restaurant. Room was extremely clean, well equipped and had top quality beds with real comforters and good selection of pillows. The view from the balcony was awesome. We enjoyed food at the restaurant and both the US Cousine and Asian were very good. Will stay myself next time and have no reservations to recommend (except afraid it will be sold our when i need it :-)).
