“winter visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

We visit Torrey quite often. Best western is by far our first choice! The breakfast bar is really great! We have been taking our 64 year old brother with us and now I am pretty sure he loves the place too! Ha Ha! Torrey has many beautiful places to take in. The flute shop up the canyon to Boulder even opened just for us to come in and purchase items we had to have! The Best western is a gate way to much fun for us ! The motel maid was so great I tipped him and that is something I have NEVER done! THe hot tub is FANTASTIC TOO ~ and its outdoors with the most awesome scenery you will ever see from a hot tub in Utah! Also the girls that work at Best Western in Torrey are sweet and there to meet all your needs! GO TO TORREY BEST WESTERN!!! We LOVE Torrey!

Room Tip: all the roomsI have been in have been good!

Good location, good sized clean rooms. Seemed to get Lots of static shocks, could have been causes by nylon carpets and furnishings. Breakfast was very average.

“A Surprising Property”

Prior to arrival, we had reserved a King room. Upon arrival in Torrey, we had to drive a few miles east of town to locate the hotel; no big deal. Approaching from the west, the motel appears without any distinguishing features. It is located in a very scenic area.

After checking in, we went to our room, located in a one story addition, up the hill from the office, just past the tennis courts. Our King room was simply fantastic. You enter through the bedroom, and in between the sitting room, is the bathroom. The sitting room contained a small sink, microwave, and refrigerator. A sofa, and television completed the sitting room. An exterior door opened to a small patio, with impressive views of large red rock masses.

The bedroom also contained a TV. The design of the unit is older, but everything in the unit is new, clean, and comfortable.

Breakfast was provided, and was superior to most offerings.

Looks can be deceiving, as was the case here. It would be hard to find a more comfortable, cleaner property than the Capitol Reef Best Western.

“Nice room, great location, awesome off-season deal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

Stayed off-season to visit Capitol Reef NP and it was wonderful. Clean, spacious room with patio and views; we stayed in single story rooms above tennis courts which had a walk-out patio next to a lawn with rabbits and amazing views beyond. Large tub in bathroom had jets. There was separate office/lounge space with second TV, mini-fridge, sink, coffee maker and sliding glass doors to patio. Nothing is super fancy, but for the price, it's nice and comfortable. The included/free "Continental" breakfast included hot food and was excellent. Service was really nice and friendly. Right across the street from The Patio which is awesome after hiking all day. There's tennis courts, pool, hot tub on grounds, though it was too chilly out to enjoy them. All-around a great deal and a great stay and we will probably look to stay here again next time we're in town.

“Great views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

This was the second time in one year we have stayed at this hotel. When booking go for a room on the top level facing the rocks behind the property, because you get a sliding glass door and small balcony to admire the beautiful cliffs!! Since we were there in Novemeber it was very empty. A laundry facility is on site which was very helpful. Breakfast is served in the main building (for a price) which is where we would go because there were very few options available for the off season. Location is just down the road from the offical entrance to Capitol Reef. It's not fancy but for the area which is a little "off the map" it totally works. Beds were comfy and the views are the selling point to choose over others.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the cliffs in the back
