My sister and her husband were here from Denver CO. to see their first shuttle launch. My sister from Sarasota, and my sister and brother-in-law from Titusville also visited. We had drinks, food, met great people, and walked 5 minutes to see the launch. As everyone has said, a perfect place to watch! Besides being a very friendly environment, it is also quite comfortable for folks that have illnesses (my brother- in -law has cancer) and can't take the rigors of fighting the regular launch crowd and heat. Many thanks to the staff for the perfect family launch!

We loved our stay at the park, the bathrooms were clean and the surrounding areas are spotless. There is a wonderful pavillion for BBQ'ing that faces the river. We were in a tent and other friends of ours were in a travel trailer. The tent sites are by far the best, facing the water and all shaded by large oak trees. Site 170 is the best and site 165 is the biggest. I would go back in a second! The only draw back was an over zealous park attendant but we quickly over looked her.

We live in South Brevard county and have stayed at Manatee Hammock many times over the last 6 years. We have stayed by ourselves and with grandchildren. We use a 28' Travel Treiler. The campground is always a pleasant place and the staff are very nice. There is a dock into the Intercoastal for fishing, a swimming pool and game room, wireless internet, and great roads for bike riding. The campground is located close to Kennedy Space Center and other attractions. Manatee campground is not a Disney attraction, thank God, but if you do not enjoy your stay here it is most likely of your own making.

The campground is a little south of the NASA Causeway on the inter-coastal waterway. You have a clear view of the Vehicle Assembly Building and a good view of Pad 39A behind it. The grounds are well shaded and meticulously maintained. There is a fishing pier, swimming pool and small boat launch area for canoes or kayaks. The staff was very friendly and helpful and always visible in the park. The bathrooms were clean with the floors being mopped numerous times during the day. We were thankful there were washing machine and especially the dryers after we left the tent open during the afternoon thunderstorm. Excellent location a short distance from tourist attractions, wildlife refuge and Cocoa Beach. Highly recommended in rain or shine!
