“Large rooms, little daylight, wifi pitiful, shower not great, need a car for the location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

The rooms are very large, but not much daylight. The kitchen is very handy if you don't want to eat out every day. The room and bathroom were clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Location isn't great if you don't have a car. No noise disturbance from the road or other guests, but the plumbing makes a racket. The shower isn't great though there was always hot water. The gym, though in a very small room, had quite a few machines. The clothes washing machines and dryer were very handy for us. Breakfast would have been more enjoyable if the television in the corner wasn't always on i.e. a constant stream of ads. Wireless, though complementary, is pitiful.

Dear Valued Guest,

This review has made some valid points and some of the issues brought up are being addressed or had already been addressed.
We are going through renovations and taking every step we can to alleviate any problems we have found that have made our guests experience with us anything less then what one would expect from any of Wyndham’s hotels.
We are extremely disappointed to hear of your experience with us. Please accept our apologies for failing to exceed your expectations. If you would like to further discuss the details of your stay, I would appreciate your time in contacting me directly at the hotel or emailing me at rb@kghotels.com. We would welcome the chance to look into this further, so we can take the necessary action needed to prevent any inconveniences that could occur to our guests. So please know we take your valuable feedback seriously. We look forward to hearing from you.

“Great deal for room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Had a giant room, full kitchen, great bed, so much space I was shocked! The shower was the only complaint and once we didn't get up super early to hit the breakfast bar before they ran out. I didn't have time to wait for more food to come but every other day we woke up early and got plenty of food. Staff was polite and no problems were had. I would leave a note for housekeeping with a tip and all my needs were met.

“Convenient Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

This hotel is convenient to Interstate 8, but set at the back of a large lot. We had a two bedroom suite on the third floor. Freeway noise was not a problem for us, as our our bedrooms were facing toward a quiet residential hillside area. Suites are large and well appointed, but the small breakfast room off the lobby is inadequate for the number of guests. Food selection for the complimentary breakfast is average. Access to the trendy Hillcrest neighborhood is very easy (ask at the desk for the 'back way'), so it is a five minute drive to quality restaurants. Old Town is also nearby.

“Poor customer service, horrible showers.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

I stayed at this hotel this past weekend 1/22/12 and all I can say is I will never stay at this hotel again. The location and price was right but that was about it. The front desk staff at check in was ok but at checkout the next morning was horrible.First no one was at the desk when I was trying to check out so I rang the bell. Several times. Finally some one cam casually walking up from the side of the lobby, He was not very helpful at all. In fact he seemed as if he was irritated that I was even there. He was very unfriendly and combative. My worst customer experience ever. Besides the service, The room furniture was dated. I stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and the main bedroom had no door. I asked the front desk if there were any rooms that were more private and he said that all the rooms were like that. The tv had been replaced with a small lcd flat screen in the common area but the bedrooms still had conventional tvs.The conventional tvs picture was not very clear. Now onto the bathrooms. Water pressure seemed adequate but the water saving shower head was horrible. I could b arely wash off the soap. It took me forever to shower. In fact I had to turn the shower off and use the faucet to wash off. That was how bad the water pressure was. If your ever going to stay in the hotel circle area I say AVOID this hotel at all costs. I would not stay here ever again.

Room Tip: Don't stay here

“2nd time visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012
2
people found this review helpful

This is our 2nd time back within 1 year and they are now remodeling all the rooms and the room we got was beautiful. No pictures on the wall yet but fresh paint and bed and pull out bed on couch very comfortable. We had a 1 bedroom this time instead of a studio as there was 4 of us. Room 213. The 3rd floor was filled, which is the best as it's quieter. This is a small hotel and this is why it's nice. Free parking and off the busy highway 8. They do only have one person working at desk but don't know why other reviews said they were rude. We met 3 of them and they were all very friendly and helpful. We will always go back here as it's great for the $$ and very spacious and small. No walking down long hall ways. There is no swimming pool but there is a outdoor jacquizzi, did not use it.

Room Tip: Try to get on 3rd floor.
