My 2 day visit stay was black & white. First night, single bed room location horrid - highly frequented soda machine just outside door; Interstate noise continuous - added up to unrestful night. When I tried to check out next morning told I had reserved two nights (via their Internet site, not 3rd party) and would be charged for room whether I stayed or not. The alternative was to be moved to a different room. Made all the difference. Two bed room location was at back of site away from machines & Interstate plus much larger and had HDTV. First night room had an old, fuzzy TV. My advice if you choose this hotel with its ridiculous "can't change your mind" check out policy, book a two bed room because the price difference is worth the amenities including a table and chairs for eating. That's important because there is no central dining area; it's eat in your room. Breakfast is sparse compared to similar priced accommodations. Food choice is pretty much waffles or a piece of fruit. Hotel Row is home to all brands of hotels and a great location because it is the Interstate service road essentially; is located just across from a major shopping center with movie theater, restaurants (Cheesecake Factory is a stand out), etc; easy access to Interstate facilities getting to Things To Do. Do not miss the world class Zoo! It is a whole day outing so plan accordingly.

This hotel is located in Hotel Circle-South- in San Diego. Right next to the Marriott. This hotel, however, if much less money. Our double queen room was 59.00 a night. It is an older hotel, two story, but close to everything, and a very good price for the area. The hotel was very clean, and comfortable. It had a frig, microwave,of course, a TV. A bonus is they accept pets. It is $20.00 per night --a bit high,-- but many hotels charge more than that. The continental breakfast was OK considering the size of the hotel lobby-where it is served. It had waffles, the usual cereals, and the like. We would sure stay there again.....the Price is right and the staff is friendly.

I've had the pleasure of staying four times at the Vagabond Inn Hotel Circle in San Diego.
All aspects of this hotel, from check-in through room cleanliness and quality have always
been first rate.
The staff is always friendly, efficient and courtious (sp).
I would highly recommend this establishment for business guests and visitors to SD.

Booked this hotel over the net for myself and 3 friends. In spite of the booking confirmation confirming the rate inclusive for 4 adults, they said the website wasnt correct and that they had to charge me extra amount. Hardly fair, for the amount I paid in the end, I could have stayed at a much nicer hotel. Not a fan of hotels that do this sort of thing, but never mind, they always get a suitable review.

Room itself was basic but clean. As far as location goes, its miles from anywhere relevant (except the zoo).
