I stayed in this hotel for business: I was on my own and I had the chance to experience the restaurant as well: good food better than in other hotel with more known chef and at a reasonable price. Rooms quiet and clean.

We stayed at this hotel this past Wednesday thru Friday. I was very unimpressed by the hotel staff. When I asked how far the hotel was from the MCRD (Marine Corp Recruit Depot) the staff didn't know where it was. He said he needed an address. This has been in San Diego for probably 75 years! San Diego houses families all the time that come to see their young men graduate from boot camp. The rooms were adequate. They ARE cheap on their towels. We got 3 for the first day but had to go downstairs to get a 3rd one on our second day there. (there were 3 of us). When I checked out of the hotel on Friday the staff hardly even acknowledged me. Customer service was poor, beds were uncomfortable and room (overall) was just adequate. Glad I used priceline.com because I would not have liked paying full price. To compare this the Ayers Hotel in Orange thatl we stayed in the next two night - there was no comparison. Ayers was heads and shoulders above this hotel in every possible way. They even included a full buffet breakfast.

The room was fine. Clean, reasonably updated, comfortable bed, quiet.

They were, however, unusually stingy in their advertised amenities. For 2 adults in the room, they provided:
* 2 bath towels
* 1 hand towel
* 1 bar of soap for a 3-day stay
* 1 coffee cup per day
* 1 packet of coffee per day
* 1 bottled water for a 3-day stay

My sister and her husband, staying in a separate room from us, had the same experience.

The breakfast bar was poorly stocked. The pastries were many-days old, and they had none of the advertised yogurt throughout our stay.

Four Points by Sheraton San Diego is a wonderful hotel. The hotel and rooms are very clean and nice. The hotel staff are very nice and friendly. Matt from the front desk was super friendly and nice and check in was quick.....Thank You Four Points San Diego for making my stay so wonderful.
