“Always Good!”

I have been to America's Finest City many many times. I have also stayed and many different hotels downtown, but I always seem to come back to Sheraton Suites Symphony Hall. The fact that the hotel starts on a higher floor is just different, not a problem. The suites are very comfortable (I have been here with both my family and alone). Everything you can want is within walking distance. Petco Park, Gaslamp District, Harbor attractions, etc. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Restaurant is good, nice comfortable bar area and if you are SPG (certain level, I am not sure what), there is a nightly reception room with free drinks and snacks...can't wait till my next trip!

“Lack of care from front desk staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, a fri and a sat. Fri was good, except for there was a lightbulb out in the bathroom and no extra toilet paper, which we almost ran out of between 3 people. Upon returning to the room Saturday the room had been cleaned but there were 2 dirty towels left in the bathtub.
Saturday night there was a group of noisy guests that woke us up around 1:15am. I called the front desk to complain and they said they'd take care of it. An hour later I was still awake b/c of the same noisy guests so I called down again and was told they'd send security up to talk to them. When my alarm went off at 4am, I heard the same people in the hallway still and called down for the 3rd time to complain! The response I got was that it was a Saturday night & people party on the weekends. I feel the front desk staff could have done more....I lost 3 hours of sleep b/c of their lack of understanding. And also the sofa sleeper mattress is super uncomfortable!

“A comfortable, convenient upscale all-suites hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

This is a higher-end property located in the financial district of downtown San Diego that has an appeal to both business and leisure travelers. Its location – very near the offices of numerous large banks and corporations – is ideal for the business traveler, while leisure travelers should appreciate the spacious, comfortable suites. Tourists should note that the biggest downside of this hotel may be convenience – the only attractions within easy walking distance from here are the Gaslamp Quarter and Horton Plaza, both of which are about a half-mile (0.8 km) away.

I stay at this property on business at least once per quarter and have noticed that the staff executes consistently well. The service is cordial and efficient, and the suites are tidy and kept in good repair.

One of the ironies of this hotel (and other upscale downtown hotels) is that even though your room rate is higher, nothing is free – there’s no free breakfast, no free parking and no free Internet access. They’re all available to you, but you have to pay for them.

Still, if you can afford it (or if you’re on an expense account), this is a well-run property that will enable you to rest easy.

“Big hotel Tiny room”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

The hotel was nice and pretty, but the suite was smaller than average room usually is. the furniture was forced in there to accommodate the words SUITE. The bed room doors didn't close because the beds were to big and in the way. Although the advertise flat screen TV's its really only a Flat screen in living area, the old bulky TV in the room was so tiny you could only watch from one bed.

Room Tip: corner suite was TINY!!! Wish i had photographed it.

“Nasty room in a Hotel that didnt care”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

Let me start off with one sentence. Old pubic hair in the shower! GROSS!! Someone left a smeared....Face?? on the sliding glass door. Plugged the iron in to a non working outlet, had to iron in the bathroom, the phone didnt work, I couldnt find the remote the entire time there and the bathroom was stocked with a 1/3 of a roll of toilet paper. They took a $100.00 deposit which they have since held on to for a week (my stay was two days) and I never dared use the mini bar after experiencing the rest of the room. My suggestion, take your blacklight with you or book the Marriot down the street.

Room Tip: Dont get first floor. The pool party will keep you up late.
