The outside appearance looks very unappealling. The rooms were much nice than I expected. Rooms were clean, large and had many amenities..small fridge, microwave and coffee maker.
Downtown location was okay but was rather noisy. Parking is an additional$10

My husband and I stayed for just one night and we knew this hotel was going to be old. We were not excepting much. What I was amazed to see was the personal FREE things in our room. There were two bottles of water in the refrigerator, a bag of microwavable popcorn and two health bars for a snack. These are small things but they meant a lot. The bed was comfortable and the view was surprisingly beautiful looking downtown.

Room is the highlight as it is Cosy. It has the feeling of personal touch. Staff are friendly and helpful. Car park available on the property at $10 per day. Complimentary breakfast is very basic. If you have a car then location is fine.

This is a very nice hotel, the staff are friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. The location is great for Downtown, the Gaslamp area, Balboa Park and the harbour. The rooms are well furnished including microwave and fridge and the beds are very comfortable. Some of the rooms have a great view of the downtown area. They serve a great breakfast in a newly refurbished breakfast room. There is sufficient parking on the site for which they now charge but then every other hotel in San diego charges for parking these days. The hotel is situated in a good area surrounded by high quality apartment developments. I would highly recommend this hotel
