We spent two nights at the Best Western Seven Seas during Spring break. Since it was a last minute trip, I did not have time to do a lot of shopping around. All we need is a clean place to sleep and a fridge for fruits and milk for my kid. I made my reservation through Bestwestern.com. Upon check-in, I was told that there will be a $75 security deposit charged to my credit card which will be credited back to me when I check out. There was no mention of a security deposit when I made the reservation. Since it was late and I didn't really have other choices, I had to agreed to it. After that, we got our room keys and a map to our rooms. The hotel is made up of 3 to 4 buldings layed out one in front of the other with parking in between. Our room was in the last building at the back close to the laundry facility. The driveway between the rows of parking spaces was extremely narrow, we had a hard time trying to navigate our truck past the laundry room. So, if you have a big car, watch out. The room itself was clean, everything in good working condition. We found the fridge under the sink but there is no available outlet to plug it in. There is only one outlet on the wall but it was shared by the hair dryer and coffee maker already. We had to move the fridge to under the desk on the other side of the room in order to use it. No big deal there. Wireless internet is included in the rate but my husband had a lot of problem trying to access it. After about 30 minutes, he finally gave up and called technical support. The technical support was helpful and managed to solve his problem, they even assigned him a case number for follow up in case he encountered more problem later. The beds were not too comfortable.
The heated pool and jacuzzi were very welcome after a day of walking. The ground around it was well kept and clean. The hotel is located relatively near the shopping mall and other restaurants so dining is not an issue. There is an on-site restaurant but we did not try even though we were offered a coupon when we checked in. However, when we checked out, there was a $32 restaurant charge on our account. The staff was nice though after I complained about it. She tried to find a manager to take care of it, but after about 10 minutes wait, she gave up and took the restaurant charge off our bill without any problem. Now I just need to check my credit bill to make sure the $75 security deposit is off my charge as well as the $32 restaurant charge.
