I should start out by saying I did not stay at this B&B. In fact, I never even called. Having read the reviews, it sounded perfect.
Unfortunately the website at http://www.bankershillmanor.com/ is something out of the late 1990s. I couldn't get a feel for the place, because there were absolutely no room descriptions, or prices. Clicking either " Inside the Manor" or "Guest Room and Polices" take you to the same page, which has a few small unlabeled pictures.
They tell you nothing about the neighborhood, nothing about the food, and there is no way to select a room. Worse, on the main page there is a picture of either a thin dark dog or a large bat (it isn't clear which) laying on a pillowed sofa, presumably in one of the guest rooms, labeled "Everyone gets a great night's sleep at Bankers Hill Manor!".
If it weren't for the sterling reviews in Trip Advisor, I might have assumed this B&B served double duty as a kennel! As it is, I'm going to give this place a pass ... it may be unjust, but given the universal availability of the internet, there are other B & B's in San Diego which have websites that allow you to research and compare their facilities before making a reservation ... which is why I think Trip Advisor is so great in the first place.
