I booked an event for January last September. Stayed there in October to check out, the valet wrecked my car. They finally agreed to pay the $150 to fix it (yes a mere $150 I was harassed) when I told I would pull the event if they did not take care of their problem. Five days before the event the event host Janissa changed the room I rented for my event (I wonder why we were the only event there that day). Of course they (and all hotels) put they can give you what they want. She was just challenging to work with too many lose ends to clean up from her not doing her job. I am a Platinum Hyatt member and this is the WORST Hyatt I have ever stayed at. I think Hyatt needs to evaluate whether they should serve this hotel. Hyatt management needs to get in there and get the bad apples out of the bushel, they're rotting all the apples. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN! If I were you I would stay at the Hyatt Manchester, I have stayed there 50 times and ALWAYS had great service.

I don't expect much when i am staying at a hotel for an out of town job (i am in construction) but this place was the worst! The rooms face the street and they have thin windows so there was a lot of street noise. we could hear the street sweeper and the trains. We put our bags in the room and then went to dinner. after dinner we came back to settle in, my co worker asked me what bed bugs look like. i said "i don't know, but i know that roaches look like the one crawling up the wall behind you", He killed it right away then we started looking around and found a bunch of baby roaches. It should not be called a hotel, it is a hostel with community bathrooms. I booked the reservation through the hotel website, when i went to the desk (after discovering how disgusting the room was) to cancel they said i had to go through Expedia. (I'm still working on getting my money back)

We stayed one night at 500 West in order to be close to the Amtrak station for our early morning departure. In hindsight we probably wouldn't stay here again, despite the convenient location.

This is a quasi-hostel/hotel, with small bunk bed rooms and shared bathrooms. The facility is huge, with several floors and lots of rooms. It has the feel of university dorms, including the potential problems you can have with those kind of dorms such as messy bathrooms and noise.

There aren't a lot of additional amenities here; this is pretty basic accommodations and its good if you just need a cheap place to stay for a night or two on your way through San Diego. But if you're looking for a place to stay for a holiday, I would suggest you keep looking

This "hotel" is the biggest dump. I'm not sure how it's even considered a hotel because it's more like a homeless shelter inside the YMCA, where we encountered very shady people from the moment we entered the building. The lobby doesn't appear half bad, however, the staff was far from friendly or welcoming. The elevator is sketchy and looks like it may break down at any moment. My friend and I stayed in a room with one double bed. From the photos posted of this disgusting place online, the rooms look decent. However, when we arrived at the room, it was the size of a closet. The photos posted online must be of another place because the rooms do not even REMOTELY resemble the photos posted. With all of our luggage, there was barely any room to move. To add to the discomfort, there is no AC in the rooms. The bathrooms were just down the hall from our room, however, walking to the bathroom was like taking your life in your hands because you never knew what seedy character you would meet on the way. The only good thing about this place is it's location very close to downtown, other than that, this place should be burnt to the ground.
