This hotel room was a wonderful experience! We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very comfortable and very nicely decorated. The beds were extremely comfortable and luxurious. The bathroom had granite countertops and nice tile. The towels and linens were top quality! Each person had two pillows, labeled "Soft" and "Firm."

The room included FREE wireless interenet, flat screen tv, mini refrigerator, microwave, iron and board and a hairdryer. I was impressed that there were several outlets that had plenty of unused sockets so that we didn't need to use our extension cord in order to plug in our computer and phones. Bath items included shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shoe mitt, shower cap and cotton swabs. We didn't use the fitness center or the business center. All of the staff was very friendly.

The breakfast was better than most of these types. There were warm cinnamon rolls, biscuits and gravy, toast, bagels, oatmeal, dry cereals, yogurt, hard boiled and peeled eggs, mini omelettes (though they were made with processed American cheese, so I didn't care for them very much) I was happy that they also had small cartons of milk for drinking, several types of juice and coffee.

The only dings I could possibly give our room were: 1) The toilet ran intermittently throughout the night (Room #203), which would have disturbed a light sleeper, 2) the housekeeper hadn't vacuumed between the ottoman and the wall, so it was a bit dusty there. Otherwise, the room was sparkling clean! For some guests, it might be a little less convenient to downtown San Diego or Sea World, but that wasn't an issue for us, as we were coming just one night to visit Point Loma Nazarene University.

We would definitely stay here again! We got the room for a great deal--only $59 on Hotwire.com (Plus $14 room taxes)!

The staff at HIE, Mira Mesa Blvd was phenominal. Chante was always wearing a smile for us and she did everything possible to accomodate our every need. I was in charge of 34 U.S. Marines that stayed at the hotel and each one of them had great things to say about the hotel and staff. We stayed at the hotel for almost an entire month and every day the rooms were immaculately cleaned. The breakfast was perfect and the coffee was made fresh! The manager in charge of making reservations was very understanding on the phone and she did everything possible to make our stay comfortable.

I stayed here for a few days on a trip down to San Diego. Loved this hotel. The location is great, not too far from downtown as well as if you wanted to go up north to Carlsbad and to Legoland. The rooms are very nice, clean and spacious. They recently upgraded the rooms to granite countertops as well as nice LCD flat panel tvs. They also have free wifi in each room. The hotel also serves complimentary breakfast and has a small eating area which was great. The staff was very friendly and nice. I would definately recommend this hotel for those who are traveling to San Diego/ Mira Mesa area for business or for pleasure. They give the best services and best hotel rates around!!!

First and foremost, the hotel is right off the freeway (Highway 15)...it made getting around the city more convenient.

The staff, especially at the front desk, were all friendly. Check in and check out were fast and easy.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and well furnished. The rooms had a ref, microwave, hair dryer, and coffee maker. The beds were comfortable to sleep in. We slept really well even when the smoke alarm went off in the middle of the night since the battery needed to be changed. The sheets/linen were clean and seemed new.

The parking lot gets somewhat crowded at night since they shared parking lots with Quality Inn Suites (right next door) and Dennys but it was not difficult to find parking spots.

The complimentary breakfast was great. Hot foods were served such as biscuit and gravy, bacon, sausage, eggs, and warm cinnamon rolls. It made the stay even better.

Overall our stay was very pleasant. The hotel was better than the expensive hotel we stayed at in Las Vegas.

I definitely would recommend this hotel to family and friends.
