When we first got into our room - i was not too happy, the walls needed cleaning and furniture looked old, we where exhausted from a long day at Sea World so we wanted to lay down to sleep. Well that is when we saw..........................Bed Bugs.......or a bed bug crawling up the wall, when we looked at the mattress there where more. Not coming back here!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed at this motel for the San Diego Comic Con. Overall, it was a positive experience. The rate was very reasonable, the room was nearly spotless, and the staff (front desk and housekeeping) were all very friendly and helpful. Even though it's not in the best of neighborhoods, the hotel itself and even it's parking lot felt very safe and secure. The other guests were good people, too (no weirdos).
My only complaint was that the "bear bites" breakfast (pastries and coffee) was less than stellar... but then again, it was free, so...
Also, it's about a mile away from the trolley stop, but it's an easy walk, and an even easier drive. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, as well as a couple of grocery stores. The beach is a short drive away, too.
If you're on a tight budget, and don't mind the wee commute to the trolley stop, I highly recommend this motel.
