Just completed a 2 night stay at HIX-Sorrento Valley.
The Front Desk Clerk, I can't remember her name, was amazing. Very warm and informative,and as a Gold Priority Club Member, I was given a gift (chips, water, candy, chocolate bars, etc). Which was great, as last year I was a PC platinum and not once was I offered anything!
The rooms themselves are fairly nice but you can definitely tell they have been remodeled, and they look and feel remodeled a few years ago.
A couple of pet peeves I noticed here:
-No Bathroom fans, just those passive ones which I don't know do anything
-They don't vacuum daily
-Slow Draining "drains"
The stay is far from anywhere so make sure you have a car!
Son and wife tried out the pool and said it was good.
Overall a good stay with just some minor nuances!

Yes, a car is necessary for travel since we are located in a business area which ensures our guests a peaceful night’s sleep with very little to no noise keeping them awake.
