I stayed here during a quick business trip to the area. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Early check-in was a breeze, despite the fact I had used Priceline - they treated me just as well as they would have treated one of their top-tier regular guests. Parking was free, the lot was safe. Within a short walking distance was a plaza with tons of shopping and eating options. I-15 is about 5 minutes away; downtown 25 minutes (note that rush hour traffic can be very much longer). Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. I'd absolutely recommend this hotel. Excellent rating given for combination of price, location, staff friendliness and value for the buck. It's not the Ritz, but it sure does a lot better than most hotels in its class.

This hotel had all the amenities for a business traveler: free w-fi, large work area in the room, clean room, new bathroom, etc.

I had been on the road almost two weeks with heavy luggage - my heart sank when i saw that the parking lot was uphill from the hotel's main entrance. It was a hassle to pull up to the front door, drop off my bags, park the car, come back, get a trolly to take the bags up to the room. When I checked out, same scene, but in reverse.

On another note, I was allergic to something in the room, either the soap used to launder linens, or something, because the next morning I was itching. No bug bites! Just itching and redness.

This is a nice area of San Diego, but far away from the Old Town, Zoo, etc.

This was a good hotel for business travel, but I don't think I'd stay here again, based on the location of the parking lot.

The hotel was just an average hotel. We chose this hotel because it was suggested to us by our friends who was having a wedding in the area. We had issues with the shuttle service that was suppose to be provided for the wedding. While the staff tried to be accommodating, initially the on duty manager was very difficult which was disappointing.

My husband & I stayed here for an overnight visit. The hotel is close to the I15 Freeway and you can hear the traffic noise when you enter the hotel. Our room faced the freeway but the traffic noise was not noticeable in the room. The hotel was very busy on Saturday am when we checked out. It appears the hotel is used by club soccer teams for overnight stays for weekend tournaments. So there will be a lot of kids staying in the rooms with parents. You can hear the noise from other rooms. The hotel does have a breakfast option but once again there will be a lot of kids. The hotel was fine for a short overnight stay to visit my elderly father who lives in assisted living. If I stayed longer in Rancho Bernardo, I would stay in a nicer place with more amenities.
