Free parking (good). Checked into the hotel - was not asked for ID or credit card for incidentals (didn't realize at that time that there were NO incidentals). I believe we had the best room in the house. Back side of hotel is some kind of weekly/monthly rental property - pretty seedy guests hanging around smoking on steps. Opened door to our room and was met with terrible air freshener smell, apparently used to cover up smoke smell. Opened windows, which remained open the entire weekend. Grape Street is loud at night, but noise was preferable to bad smell. Amenities were of poor quality - bar soap and "conditioning shampoo." Advertised continental breakfast was frozen waffles, bread and a toaster. Coffee was available in the morning on Saturday, but not on Sunday. When we went to check out, front desk clerk was outside smoking. He said we should just leave our key cards on the counter. There's no real reason to ask anyone how was their stay - everyone knows the answer is "NOT GOOD."
