I just spent 5 weeks in this small hotel, ideally located in San Diego. Originally I checked-in for 3 days but the High Level of Service from Dan the owner, won me over and I cancelled my other reservation to spend my entire stay at Cabrillo Inn. It is a comfy "unpretentious" small hotel run by a family who understand Customer Service and what it lacks in amenities from larger hotels is more than made up by good service and convenience.
There is Off Street parking and a magnificent view of the San Diego skyline from the 4th floor landing. Nearby Starbucks and small eateries are all nearby.
I will definetely stay there again.

Very well located, good price, clean and old hotel.
Don't expect for a great hotel, but a plain one.

This hotel was not at all how the pictures and describtion showed it. There was no A/C in the room. The furniture looked like a few pieces of plywood that were nailed together. I am not sure where the kitchenette was, but it was not in the room. I was afraid that I would be on an episode of Cops. I spent nights in dirty foxholes in the desert and would prefer to spend a night in them over this hotel.
Great place for an 1 hour encounter

The hotel is good for single guys and couples that don't care about cleanliness and good facilities. Our room smelled awful (two air fresheners couldn't mask it) and about a half dozen tiles in the bathroom were cracked and loose. The bed was OK. Our TV went out for no apparent reason.
