“Pet friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

This is a very nice hotel, not a B&B or Inn. Very clean. Beds were comfortable. Separate vanity from commode and shower, which I like when sharing the room with family. Pet friendly hotel. Even had dog treats at the front desk. Pet charge of $10 per night. Two free drinks per person at the bar from 5 to 7 and can purchase after that. Also had popcorn and pretzels. Bartender was absolutely wonderful. She makes us want to come back. Breakfast was very good. Sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, waffles yogurt, hot cinnamon rolls. Easy access to I 70 and plenty of restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay again and again.

“Very Comfortable.”

We stayed in a king room which was quite spacious and very comfortable. It had a flat screen TV, in room coffee maker and the bed was very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was excellent but the tub could have used a good scrubbing. The in room wireless speed was ok. But the best part of this property is the courtyard in the center with the pool. There is a very nice seating area just adjacent to the pool and accessible from the lobby. Our room had access to it from the sliding doors that opened in to the courtyard. The managers reception in the evening was a nice amenity and we were offered two drinks each. There was also popcorn available in the lobby. The hotel is located just off Wanamaker road which is one long strip mall having a huge selection of places to dine and shop . We had dinner at the Olive Garden a few blocks away. The breakfast next day was very good, with biscuits and gravy, sausage, scrambled eggs, hash, waffles, cereal and a selection of pastries and bread. There was also fresh fruit available, along with orange juice and coffee.

“The Fitness Center is Open”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2011

Stayed 4 nights at the Club. My executive king room was more than ample space for two people. We had a view of the pool and courtyard which was not very busy in mid-September. Once I learned that the outdoor pool was heated, we grabbed our suits and enjoyed a relaxing swim. The free breakfasts at the Club were more than ample - eggs, sausage or bacon, make your own waffles, fruit, cereal, yogurt, juice, toast, bagels, danish. The coffee and tea bar in the lounge is free and open 24/7. We took advantage of the manager's reception Monday-Saturday evenings and enjoyed the free cocktails. The hotel is conveniently located to shops and restaurants. We did not use the fitness center, but a large sign advertised that it was open. We found the staff extremely pleasant and would not hesitate to return to the club again. The only downside to our room - there were 2 of us, but only one suitcase rack. I didn't think to ask for another. Also, the in room coffee machine was on the bathroom sink. I would have preferred it on the desk. Otherwise, this was a great hotel at a very reasonable price - $87. I recommend it for anyone passing through Topeka.

Room Tip: Poolside was perfect.

“A fine place to stay!”

The service was fine, the desk clerk was very cordial and helpful. The manager was there when we checked in and he was quite helpful in finding a restaurant for the evening. While I checked in my husband went to check out the free drink and the bartender was extremely concerned that we were checkin in late and wouldn't be able to partake for the full 2 hours so she went into over drive and we definitely got all that you'd want out of a free happy hour. The swimming pool is in the center of the hotel (outdoor) and looked fine although we didn't use it. The room was EXTREMELY clean. The bed was harder than we are used to but that's a choice thing. Room was a good size and accessibility to rooms was easy. The hotel is on the main shopping area of town and close to many resturaurants and the main mall.

My husband and I both enjoyed our stay. We had a business suite and a king size bed in separate rooms. This place serves evening drinks for two hours between 5-7 and "Bev" the bar manager was just wonderful and very friendly. The next morning we had a full buffet breakfast - quite good also. We will definitely go back, it was very enjoyable.
