The service at the front desk was nice. She said to let them know if I needed anything at all, and though she had a strong accent (as did all the staff) she spoke perfect English.
The walls are extremely thin--you can hear your neighbors down the hall talking in their rooms. You can hear everything the people in the room above you are doing. The people in the room above me happened to be fighting the entire night, including throwing each other across the room, and shattering their mirror. I kept expecting my ceiling to collapse any moment. Calls to the front desk yielded nothing but promises to check into it. Other people were talking in the hallways all night long. Police sirens were going off in the area the whole night. Also, the curtain was extremely thin and the light outside filtered in way too much during the night. I believe it is safe to say this is not a quiet place to stay, at least on the weekends.
Also, the bed was extremely uncomfortable. I felt like I was sleeping directly on the coils. Blanket was very thin, and not warm at all. It was a cold, miserable night.
It was supposed to be a non smoking room but the bathroom smelled so strongly of smoke that the smell clung to my clothes for the rest of the day just from having them laid out in there while I showered.
On the subject of the shower, it was filthy, and there was still hair in it from the last guest that had stayed there.
They're renovating it themselves to save money, and the entire hallway smells like paint.
Two good things: 1.room had a thermostat, which worked quite well and was fairly quiet.
2. The continental breakfast had fresh donuts, make-your-own-waffles, juice, coffee, and a few other pastries and milk and cereal.
All in all, I would recommend saving your money; you're better off sleeping in your car in the Wal Mart parking lot.
