“very nice for the money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2011

While driving the Natchez Trace Parkway, we stayed the night in Tupelo. Even though rush hour traffic was hectic, the Baymont was simple enough to find. We found the hotel to be nice for the price paid. My only regret was not packing some swim-wear since there is a most pleasant indoor pool & hot-tub area. Pleasant would describe just about everything about the place....front desk was friendly & helpful, the room was clean, the queen beds were comfortable, and the abundant breakfast had everything I expected with sausages & a waffle-maker.

Room Tip: off of Gloster, not on Gloster...so watch for sign.

Thank you for your great review.

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay.

Many people do forget their swimming costumes.

Thanks.

“hard to get too”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2011

This hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast didn't have a very big variety. It was hard to find and get into, thankgoodness we had a GPS.

Hi Connie,
Thanks for your review.

I realize we do sit behind La Vino Liquor Store on N Gloster and our visibility is not great.

Please for future guests we will gladly direct you to the hotel.

“Nice Visit”

We stayed here one weekend in Sept 2011 and were very satisfied. Clean, good staff, good breakfast, convenient location, and very good price. I don't have to have fancy, but I do have to have clean; If we return to Tupelo, we will stay here again.

Room Tip: I was glad we had a room close to the outside door or we would have had a good little trek down that...

“I would stay here again.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 July 2011

We were in Tupelo for a family reunion for 3 days and I enjoyed our stay, but had a few concerns, but not major. The indoor pool was not heated. Our definition of a "heated" pool is the water being warm, which it was not. It was a little cool, but after being in the water for awhile, we got use to it.
The water pressure in the shower was very very low. I don't know why.
The hallways smelled like smoke. I instantly got a headache from the smell because I am not a smoker. But our room did not smell of smoke, which was a good thing.
This Baymont does not have an elevator, which we did not know. We stayed on the 2nd floor so we had to carry all our luggage up the stairs and down the stairs when we departed. Next time, I will request a room on the 1st floor! :)

This hotel had some good things about it. The located was great. Had a lot of restaurants around and shopping. If you were trying to turn left on the main road, (N Gloster) it's kind of hard getting out. It can be busy at times. The staff was very friendly. They always told us if we needed anything to let them know. The breakfast was ok, I can't complain. I don't eat breakfast much, but I did enjoy eating their blueberry muffins! Some rooms have a flat screen plasma tv and ours did!! Very nice.

Overall, I would stay here again and I would recommend others to stay as well.

“Pleasantly Surprised.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 June 2011

I travel with my husband when he travels for business. We were in Tupelo for business at a very busy time, when the Holiday Inn had totally goofed up our reservation guarantee after calling 72 hours in advance as a diamond member to request a guaranteed room, they booked us in a near by town at a hotel we were already staying in and it was substandard, it was the hotel we were asking to be moved from (they also booked it at a higher price but that's another review). So we needed a room and every where was full. We didn't know what we were going to do when we decided to stop in the Holiday Inn and see if they would do anything about their mistake and found the Baymont Inn is right in front of their property and was not fully booked, they could give us a room for the 3 nights we needed.

The GM was very pleasant and helpful, the room was clean and had been redone at some time with newish linen's, nice soft towels, clean bathroom, one piece tub/shower with a newer wrap out type shower rod, and decent furnishings. The bathroom sink is outside the bathroom, nice to have use while someone is showering. The room was equipped with a microwave and fridge, always a nice plus when on business for several days to keep water and snacks in. The halls and foyer were vacuumed and clean also with what looked like possibly fresh paint, or just well kept and the parking area outside was newly repaved.

The typical business standard hotel I stay in with my husband is a Marriott or above but that wasn't available in the area, everything, 20 ish hotels near by were booked full, and I was beginning to be afraid what I might find but this one was quite adequate with a pool, hot tub and sauna to enjoy. It wasn't the Marriott but it was certainly acceptable.

I would have no qualms about booking in here in future. The breakfast was fine also, with hot sausage, biscuits, make your own waffles and toast, juice and coffee.
