We stayed at the Travelodge, Tupelo MS July 16-18, 2010 for a family reunion. Family that traveled with me had a total of 5 rooms reserved. Our room was spider infested, room 379. Spiders and webs were everywhere. In the door cracks, on the mirror, in the curtains, in the shower curtain cracks, on the tv, on the dresser, on the walls, in the tub, in the sink. We were killing spiders the whole stay. We told the front desk and they gave us a can of Flea Spray. No one ever came by to resolve the problem. My parents room smelled of smoke and urine. The carpet in 4 of the rooms were filthy. My brotherr's room was very hot even with a/c on highest. My sister had problems with her tv staying on. The television quality was poor in most rooms. There was no parking for us Saturday night when we returned because of the club. We had to park far away at another hotel lot. We had to purchase disinfectant, febreeze, sponges and bathroom cleaner just to be a little comfortable. We would have left, but everything in Tupelo was booked because of the event that weekend. The rooms were very outdated and chairs were nasty. I was scratching all weekend. I had to use an inhaler due to the musty smell and dirty carpet. The front desk staff was friendly, but not helpful or accommodating at all. Our complaints fell on deaf ears.
