“Southern Hospitality!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

We arrived in Tupleo very late at night after a long tiring drive. This was the first hotel we came across so went in to see about a room. When I asked for the price it was $139.00 which was a bit out of our price range. When I hesitated over the price the desk clerk asked if $109.00 would work better, which of course it did. After checking in I asked where I could find vending with bottled water and he gave me some free and the next morning after a good nights sleep in a clean, quiet room when I called and asked if there was a complimentary breakfast I was told no, but that they would be happy to write me a coupon for a free breakfast and even offered to bring it right up to my room. What's not to love here?

“Everything you need.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

We only had a brief stopover here and the weather was terrible, but nice helpful staff, a big comfy bed, warm and quiet room, free internet, free parking, TV and snacks and we were set!

Room Tip: It's so far back from the road and well built that I imagine the whole place is nice and quiet...

“Surprisingly charming and comfortable hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

During a recent business trip to Tupelo, I chose to book a room at the Hilton Garden Inn based on Trip Advisor reviews. My husband arrived first and called to tell me how nice it was. That, in itself, was surprising. Let me just say we were pleasantly surprised in every way. My overall perception was that the 'Inn' is well cared for and had a warmer overall feeling than a lot of hotels. It was decorated for the holidays and so festive and pretty. The fireplace in the lobby made it inviting. Everything was immaculate from the public spaces to our room. I did splurge and booked the Jr Suite. So worth it! Nice space and very comfortable.

Every person we came in contact with there was smiling and pleasant. We enjoyed a lovely, delicious breakfast, cooked-to-order. Based on a comment from a friend who is local, the restaurant has very good food at other meals as well. I'd be delighted to have an excuse to go back to Tupelo just to stay again at the Hilton Garden Inn.
By the way, it is next door to the Tupelo Convention Center and within walking distance of some nice restaurants and shopping. Exceeded our expectations!

Room Tip: The Jr Suite had a 2nd bath and sleeper sofa.

“Great Hotel...Great Location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

The Tupelo Hilton is located right across the street from Fair Park District. Two Great restaurants just next to the hotel.

“Not Bad, but No Better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

Maybe I'm a little spoiled. Not from more expensive hotels--I'm used to staying at places in/around this price range. But I'm used to better service. My wife was running out to a bridal party for my cousin, and she needed some cash to take with her. The desk claimed they could not cash our personal check--that's never happened to me before. I could see if they had an ATM within 3 blocks of the hotel, but alas, no.

Besides some less than stellar service, the rooms were nice and the restaurant was tasty and economical. The tv signal looked as if it had been split several hundred times, but that wasn't a huge deal to me.

It's not a bad hotel if you need to stay here, but I hope you're not used to over-the-top customer service, else you'll be slightly disappointed.
