This Wingate Hotel was nice, clean and quiet. My extended family spent a couple of nights here when we had a death in the family over the Thanksgiving holiday. The hotel staff was very friendly and made sure all of our needs were met. It's close to Barnes Crossing and a major hwy.

Me and my wife stayed at the Wingate in Tupelo, MS while on a road trip to watch LSU play Ole Miss in Oxford. Tupelo was the closest hotel I could find to Oxford, that hadn't long been booked for the game. The Wingate seemed to be newly buwEilt, the staff was friendly. The room was very nice and large. It contained a large LCD T.V, microwave and fridge. What I liked the most about the room was the bathroom. Most hotels have a bathtub and shower of which most people don't take a bath in a hotel, at least we don't. Instead there was a large stand up shower with glass sliding doors. The bed was also very comfortable. I would definately stay here again.

The hotel was nice, clean, and the staff was friendly. They had a goodie bag in the room, and a light dinner and breakfast provided. The facility included a gym, pool, and indoor whirlpool/hot tub. I was extremely pleased with my stay.

i stay in several properties over the course of the year, and if there is one commonality among the better places to stay it is the staff. you do not need the fanciest furniture, most picturesque setting or the finest dining to have a fine stay. all you really need is a clean, quite room with a responsive staff. i stay at the tupelo wingate at least 5 times a year and it always feels right. they know my name and ask where my wife might be if she was unable to make the trip -- she typically accompanies me on routine trips down the natchez trace parkway. a reliably good night sleep
