“In the land of classic hotels, this new modern one is a gem.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Sure there is certain charm to older, historic and classic hotels. there are plenty of them in boston, but to me there is also a hug upside to new everything. This hotel is very new, all glass and gorgeous outside and in. ** notice** at any InterContinental if you are an ambassador platinum/gold its a huge help. Yes they do treat you very well if you are at this status. Keep in mind you can buy ambassador status with points now also. Its worth it.. free night stay and your guaranteed and upgrade at this hotel the next room up is a huge difference in price so boom just made it worth it. regardless if you are a ihg group member or not the hotel is great. vast, open, spotless. rooms are creative, modern and comfortable. The views are some of the best in the city and the location to walk from is great for a lot of attractions including the freedom trail. Legal seafood just down the street a boston must. I rarely give any thing a 5 star review this deserves it. I can definitely see that ambassadors get treated better by a luke warm staff, but if you get past that easily you love your stay.

Room Tip: Any room will be satisfactory if you are not a suite only person they are spacious.

“Gorgeous rooms and great location - Highly recommend!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Stayed here for one night as a getaway, the hotel is very elegant and relaxing. From the valet parking to check in/out to room service the service providers were prompt and extremely courteous. The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. The finishings in the room itself and bathroom were well done and modern. A really neat feature of the room was a sliding set of panels built into the wall between the bathroom and main room that allowed you to see the flat panel TV as you got ready in the morning. There was also a separate shower and soaking tub in the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was awesome too. The hotel is conveniently located right near the waterfront and Trade Center on Seaport Drive and it's also really easy to get to off of Route 93 and the Mass Pike.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are very quiet as they look out to an office building as opposed to t...

“Great visit to Boston”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

I traveled with my partner in August to visit Boston. The location is convenient – just across the river from the airport. Checking in was easy and the door staff were helpful getting cabs. We had a club room with a partial city view. The room itself was amazing – very spacious with a large bathroom. We were really happy with the layout, furniture and turn-down service provided as we requested.

The Club Lounge is great as well and we were greeted in a friendly manner by the staff upon arrival in the morning when we went for breakfast. The view is unbeatable – looking down on Atlantic Avenue.

We also had the opportunity to check out the pool, gym and spa area which was a really great way to start the day. The facilities are high end and the staff there were helpful as well.

The bar downstairs was especially memorable. I had wanted a specific scotch they didn’t have and the waitress was really helpful in helping me pick a new one – going so far as to let me sample those she thought would match.

It was a delight coming back after a day out. I would definitely recommend again.

At InterContinental Boston, we know that good service and convenient location are two of the top concerns of our guests and we are glad we were able to provide you with both. We are delighted you had a chance to experience our club lounge as it is often overlooked. The club lounge is an added amenity to enhance our guests’ experience and it is great to hear that you found it enjoyable. We will be sure to share you praise of RumBa, our sassy rum-themed bar serving international distilled rums, appetizers, and mixes of Latin and Caribbean music, with our staff. Also in our lobby, we feature an international feast of chic restaurants and bars that reflect a journey around the world. Our Provence themed brasserie, Miel "Brasserie Provençale" celebrates the intoxicating flavors of France’s Côte d’Azur. East meets West at Sushi-Teq, a chic salsa bar pairing sushi with vintage tequila. Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel and we hope to welcome you back in the future.

“Excellent experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

Fantastic hotel with great waterfront location in financial district for both: business and leisure, walking distance to a multitude of attractions; such as the North End, Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Quincy, Beacon Hill and the Theatre District. It was really easy to find it, from the Logan International Airport by water taxi.
The room was nice, clean and large with windows on two sides, with excellent facilities and luxurious bathroom. The bed was very comfortable.
Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was delicious.

We appreciate you taking the time to review our hotel. Location is one of the main reasons visitors select our hotel for their visit to Boston. As you mentioned, we are within walking distance to famous Boston attractions and during the warmer months, the water taxi is a fantastic way of transportation to and from the airport. With a dock right behind our hotel it is convenient and a great way to tour the Boston waterfront during your ride. Next time you visit, be sure to explore The Tea Party Museum, opening in 2012 right on the Fort Point Channel behind our hotel, and you will be able to experience the history steep in our hotel. It is wonderful to hear from guests who truly enjoyed their stay with us and we hope to see you again soon.

“Romantic Getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

My husband and I stayed here for one night during Valentine's weekend last year. We live outside of Boston but wanted a romantic night away from the everyday hustle and bustle. The rooms are very modern and have beautiful bathrooms! The beds are very comfortable too! We enjoyed relaxing in the indoor pool while looking out at the snowy streets outside. This hotel is conveniently located near South Station, where you can access trains and buses. It is along the Boston Harbor which is a great area to walk around and get some dinner or drinks.

Thank you for posting your review. It is wonderful to hear that we could provide you and your husband such a unforgettable stay during Valentine’s Day last year. As you experienced, we do offer one of the most generous sized standard hotel rooms in Boston at approximately 430 sq. ft. and our bathrooms are laden with luxuriating amenities that offer a spa-like experience. We are delighted you enjoyed each detail we put into ensuring a relaxing and wonderful stay.
