I had taken the red-eye in from San Francisco and arrived at the hotel around 8AM. I was tired and a wee cranky, anticipating to sleep a few hours in the hotel lobby until my room was ready. But lo and behold, they had a room available and were happy to get me in early. Now, as a seasoned traveler- this very rarely happens and even if hotels do have your room available, they often won't get you in until 12noon, and understandable policy. But goodness me, was I ever so pleased to be able to get some shut eye in a bed.

The hotel itself was really quite stunning, the staff was utterly pleasant without being fake. The door men remembered me each time, the restaurant was a bit pricey but worth EVERY penny (delicious!). My room was on the 2nd floor facing a little alley but was surprisingly quiet. The room was a bit on the small side but laid out well and had everything I needed (free wifi and a desk). The spaciousness was were it counts- in the bathroom! Great shower.

Overall, very, very please with the location, the price and the staff. I would come back and recommend this to anyone traveling to Boston.

For my husbands birthday I planned a night out in the Back Bay area. I found this hotel on T.A. and we got a great deal booking with one of their winter getaway packages.

The hotel and service was consistently above and beyond. The valet service was so fast and helpful, they got our bags to our room shortly after we finished checking in and gave us bottled water for the ride home. And we were happy that we never had to wait for a taxi.

We had a delux suite which was a generous size (especially if you are used to hotel rooms in the city). One of my favorite little details was the motion sensor light in the bathroom that was very dim - just enough to light the floor for you in the dark.

The turn down service was a nice touch to come back to after dinner, we had an espresso maker in the room and complimentary water in the mini fridge (which is not stocked with a mini bar, something I really like). The building itself is gorgeous with every detail in place. We had no problems getting a wonderful nights sleep, never heard a single neighbor (which is something to appreciate if you have ever stayed somewhere where the walls are so thin you feel like you are sleeping in the hallway).

We had breakfast in the restaurant on the ground floor in the morning, the buffet was included with our package (a $50 credit for 2), and it was impressive for a buffet. Included in the buffet was the option of freshly cooked eggs any way or an omelette. We were both very happy wit the service and food.

Over all we were both just so happy with our stay, the staff, the amenities and all service from beginning to end. We hope to go back in the summer so we can do some more walking and less taxing.

Went to visit our son who lives in Boston. Wanted a hotel within walking distance of great restaurants and shopping...which Back Bay provided.
The best part was their wonderful assistance with our daughter who needs a wheel chair.
They provided one free of charge and were extremely attentive to her needs within the hotel.
Definitely will stay again.

I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this Hotel. The lobby was just beautiful and for a late night snack the Pub was very cozy and food was delicious. The location was perfect for me and my family as you can walk to just about anywhere for any tourist attraction. I understand it wasn't a hotel with a view, but that was fine considering we were not there for very long. The staff was great and made us feel very comfortable and safe. Giving tips for sights around the city. Dunkin Donuts a short walk for coffee, although coffee was offered at the Pub downstairs.

Would stay there again when I return.
